  1. heres a good blowup of the detail i color matched the best i could to standard rustolium colors COLOR: 7727830 - Royal Blue COLOR: 7786830 - Smoke Gray
  2. i have to agree with that it was my first thought when i looked at the detail closely.. i cant see any way a positive mold could get those line details
  3. looks great! and you did a really good job fitting it to your body type but i would recommend the double whopper meal from Burger king at least once daily (remember to super size) just kidding lol great job trooper.. Approved!!
  4. for EIB its an easy pass Approved! and great work trooper. Luis if you go for Centurion ( you really should) , i would recommend flipping the snap on the ab plate around.. as for the knee plate,,, the Centurion requirements read Ideally there should be no visible rivets or brads used to secure the sniper plate to the left greave. this means there may be rivets or brads present, although it is not ideal.. this could change in the future .. for now, if it is blended well and i cant see it clearly in a action shot its OK in my book
  5. just got this footage off the bluray extras disk.. it has some great images of Luke's ANH hero suit.. i was a bit disappointed that they only provided the torso armor, but here's what i got so far
  6. or look like you had a blue milk accident --------- Bantha milk... its smurfy good
  7. with the commander/EU, the plus is that you'll want to scuff the surface a little to weather it anyway.. so if you make an oops dont sweat it too much if all else fails just sand it with a very fine grit automotive sandpaper.. unless your going for the shiny idealized look...
  8. id leave it alone for a day scrape off what you can, then take a Q-tip with a bit of rubbing alcohol to remove the light blue. perhaps even a Mr clean magic eraser (dont use it with any chemicals!!!) http://www.mrclean.com/en_US/magic-eraser.do
  9. wait till it is fully dry then try and remove it with the card
  10. is that helmet ABS? also you really should remove the lenses and brow trim before painting.. if the helmet is ABS and if you didn't sand the surface you might be able to scrape it off with a flat piece of plastic (like a credit card)
  11. i have shipped several blasters to Canada without issue. i always mark it on the box and customs slip as a (star wars costume accessory/toy) and i attach a orange plastic tip to the end of the barrel.. painting the end of the barrel might work but i always attach a plastic plug in the end of the barrel (with hot glue) so it can be removed on arrival.. i usually get a cheap dollar store toy gun and just remove the orange tip this has worked for me several times but i cant guarantee it will work from your location..
  12. this is a great project guys. and yes, constructive criticism can be a good thing, but any posts containing negativity or non constructive criticism will be promptly removed if anyone has anything positive to contribute to this project please feel free to do so
  13. moved this to the ANH armor builds section looks like the build is coming along nicely
  14. looks fantastic Kyle! the only minor issue i see is the shins are up a little high over the boot. i will let it pass, but it will make it harder to walk. as you can see below the back of the boot is causing the shin to open in the back,, it might cause a problem when trooping.. anyway, like i said, its a minor suit up issue.. overall the suit looks fantastic and an easy pass! Approved,, great work trooper!
  15. happy birthday!! the problem is the new forum skin doesn't display birthdays at the bottom like it used to
  16. it turns out it was not your fault the overlaps were incorrect.. it is a problem with the AM armor design itself. until recently this was thought to be an assembly issue. but we now know it is a problem with the AM armor .. fortunately somebody came up with a simple solution for now but IMHO the armor parts really should be corrected on the maker end.
  17. if you used E-6000 you should be able to re-use your old cover strips. Also, it wouldn't be ideal but you could just swap the sniper plate onto the other shin
  18. everything looks OK, but i would ask that you fix your shins so they are on the proper legs and the overlap is on the inside... not only will it look better, they will be a lot more comfortable to walk around in i know it will be a little work to swap the sniper plate, but i would rather see the shins on the proper legs with a incorrect overlap than a correct overlap with the shins on the wrong legs as you already know there is now a tutorial for proper AM shin assembly http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=16608
  19. yep.. that was a side effect of the forum upgrades.. post up a link to the thread and ill try to fix it up
