  1. That's fine. But I'm still editing the thread title to better reflect reality.
  2. You know what the end result is supposed to look like. Do whatever you need to do to achive the same look.
  3. This pops up once in a while. Sadly it seems BBC has yet to learn the truth, or bother to look it up. Edit: seing that the article is from 2011 I'm guessing they might have learned by now. Next challange I suppose is keeping our own membership informed too. But here's a nice summary of how it was actually made, by the guy who's actually responsible. Mr Brian Muir. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/15047-matt-now-pestering-andrew-a-on-his-fb-page/page-6#entry184129
  4. That's easy. Just send troopermaster a PM. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

  6. Yes. Since you're not posting any proof at all contradicting me, I will continue to call it recast FX.

  8. you should ask your vendor instead of random people not connected with the production. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. There is actually no official acronym and the proper name is "1st Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment". Not 'first' in letters. That being said I also use FISD whenever applicable. But it's not the official acronym. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  10. Approved yes. But it's of obvious te2 origins so you're buying a recast and since no one here has heard of it before you're in the dark when it comes to quality. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. FX armour is used by plenty of people at plenty of events. That doesn't stop it from being the worst of them all. You should post some closeup photos instead of parade pictures where half the armour is hidden and 10 meters away. And the pictures on your website is definitely FX armour. 13. No right way of doing it. They were all over the place. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

  18. Makes perfect sense as a lot of Star Wars was inspired by feudal Japan. Just take a look at "The Hidden Fortress" by Akira Kurosawa. It's basically Star Wars (but 20 years earlier) with minor character swaps set in 1700's Japan.
  19. Or you can buy AP which is made in Canada, and is paid with Canadian dollars.
  20. 300lbs with AM armour should work.
  21. There's unfortuantely not a realistic way of fitting 600lbs inside a stormtrooper suit. They were made for people under 200lbs. But that shouldn't stop you, there are plenty of other costumes that will get you into the 501st which are far more flexible in the weight-range.
  22. I think you worry too much.
  23. To be fair, there is a noticeable difference in the colour of the original armour and helmets too.
