  1. That might be the case in that specific image. On the other one, it clearly looks spread out to the sides. So if those two are different, it's rather hard to dictate that either is "the one and only truth" and at the least we should in such case allow both variations.
  2. I'm not sure it's wise to dictate which way the legs are bent just yet, as long as it's not "downwards" (as in the way the normally are used).
  3. Optional is definitely the way to go. If you want to have it on, go ahead, this is how it's supposed to look like. If not, then that's fine too.
  4. It's quite likely that both 14 and 16 pin sockets were used. I don't think the prop makers cared about which was which at all.
  5. Obviously the IC sockets come in a variety of looks and sizes and the 50 year old design they used is unlikely to still be in production. Anyway, 16 pin IC sockets are what to look for.
  6. This IC socket looks a whole lot like this with the pins spread out to the sides.
  7. For what it's worth, the forum renders and handles really well in mobile browsers too, and I know invision is working on their own app.
  8. Just cut the forearm to length like you figured out yourself.
  9. I've just updated the tapatalk module, so hopefully that fixes it. But do know that tapatalk is a low priority item, this forum is meant to be viewed in a browser due to the heavy use of images and references to the gallery that tapatalk still does not display properly after several years.
  10. Ah, my bad. Well, it's still just riveted on to the holster. You see here that it bends upwards before coming down, and just below the bend where it's a bit darker you see the 2 layers on top of each other.
  11. Yes, the holsters were simply pop riveted on to the belt, using a washer on the back to keep them from pulling out. Check out our reference galleries. Tapatalk might not display my examples properly, use a browser. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/category/24-anh-tk-reference/
  12. TBH, the broken posts can't be rewritten unless you know what was in them before, and the section is so little used that there's little point in keeping them at all. I'd just delete them. Any new posts made will continue to work properly for the foreseeable future.
  13. I think it's been like that for ages. All the broken posts are really old and probably broke when we changed the database collation to a more universal one than what was used previously. So yes, it did break in a forum upgrade, just not in recent times. Probably when we went from IPB v3 to v4 which was at least 3 years ago I think.
  14. Nice work. I went the route of commissioning an actual painting instead.
  15. Personally I don't see it as worth the time to create a CRL for a costume not even a hand ful of people will make. You *can* get approved for a new costume without an existing CRL. That's usually how it goes with new stuff. It's the LMO who makes the call in those cases.
  16. Use a real browser and check out our gallery. We have thousands of reference pictures stored and categorised there.
  17. Yeah, the RS holster isn't a normal holster. But it's the only one known of in private hands, and also the easiest to get pictures of. And while it's different, it may give you some ideas on the stitching at least.
  18. It's tapatalk being a sorry excuse for a forum app that is playing tricks on you.
