  1. Concentrate on making the black outline of the tears and traps as smooth as possible. This was a pinstripe remember. Nice work so far!
  2. Cover strips should measure in the close proximity to: 15 mm wide for the arms, 20 mm wide for the leg fronts, 25 mm wide for the leg backs. I have cut mine using both a table saw and a razor knife. The razor knife is the safer method. Get a straight edge, mark your width and cut. I highly suggest clamping the straight edge to the plastic! This prevents the straight edge from sliding off your mark. Whichever method you use, you will be left with a tiny raised edge you can feel with your fingertip. Remove thus or the cover strip will not sit totally flat on your surface.

  4. As long as the main body is Hengstler shaped, the display is open to interpretation. It will be Centurion acceptable
  5. AP has many duplicate parts: both forearms, both biceps, the outside right shin is the same as the inside left. AP still has the goofy cover strip ridge on the back of one half of the thigh backs. Not both. Get rid of the other one and it would be golden. Did anyone mention the sink aerators??
  6. Hey Tony: Although I can assume it is there, can you take a shot of the belt ends moving your pouches so I can make sure the corners are clipped? Thank you, bud!
  7. Oh, Mark...this is not about beating you up. This is about an objective observation. Sometimes a different point of view is all that is needed. I can't wait to see your upgrades.
  8. Hey Chris! Thank you so much for your EIB application. Nice to see another ESB trooper joining the ranks. Let's take a look at your armor!!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required submission photos have been posted. Nice application! Your armor contains all necessary requirements for EIB so that said, I would like to congratulate and welcome you to Expert Infantry!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section, your fellow troopers and myself provide suggestions towards improving the overall look of your armor. Nothing suggested here will affect any application unless specifically noted. I will go into further detail below in "Centurion Suggestions" regarding the far outside edges of your chest plate. I think it would go a long way toward improving your helmet to take the ears down some. I know the feeling of finally getting the ears to fit just right. You back away and say, "Don't touch them any more!!!" The ears can be left to appear thick. As you can see here, the profile of the ear covers were shallow. I agree tht whoever built this helmet could have done a tad better, the depth is what I am making a point about. I have made suggested trim lines: Centurion Suggestions: I mentioned above that I would further elaborate on the sides of the chest. I know that you wanted a bit more coverage on the side seeing I categorize you, like myself, as the beefy trooper. This ridge, however, is distracting away from a Centurion characteristic. If you should apply for Centurion, I'll ask that it be trimmed. You have some interesting gaps in the back. I see the connecting straps on the outer edges of your butt/kidney seam but can't figure out why you get that separation. The gap between your kidney and back, however, is something that you will need to decrease. You will need to integrate the kidney notches. In the pic of your interior strapping I noticed drill holes in the back of your ab button plates. Centurion requirements ask that the buttons on your plate be molded directly into the plate and to NOT be separate buttons. If you apply, please post a detailed close-up of this to confirm they are indeed one piece. For your Centurion pics, I need to see your holster loops around your belt. I like belt security as much as the next guy, but it looks like you have about 12 inches of overlap. You only need the overlap to be about as wide as the square ridge on your butt plate. Since we are on the topic of holsters, If you apply for Centurion, you will need to upgrade your holster. The original holsters were never stitched along the bottom. They were sleeves. There are several affordable options for good replacement holsters in Vern and Darman or available templates to make your own. Congratulations again!!!!
  9. Takashi, Takashi!!! Seeing a well built set of TM armor is something I will never get tired of looking at. I have a hard time looking away from yours! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: Thank you for such a complete application. Your armor has all required elements for Centurion and with that, I would like to congratulate and welcome you to Centurion!!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Congratulations again on this accomplishment. I do want to mention for future troopers that I like to see Thermal detonator clips a little closer to the end caps. This is about the maximum space that would be allowed. Any closer to the center and a repair would be necessary. compared to a screen used one. On blasters, the scope rail should be right around 3/8 inch (10mm) above the main receiver body. Takashi's is a little high but not enthusiastic enough to require repair. I also like to see the scope mounted where the rear mounting leg is even with the hinge point on the folding stock as I have marked with the line. I do appreciate you making the adjustment so the scope rail and top T-track do not occupy the same vent hole!! Your Garrison should be proud to march beside you!! I would any day!!! Congratulations again!!!
  10. Hey Rowan! Thank you for your Centurion Application!! TM is a great armor and when it is done properly, like yours, it is a real pleasure to look at!! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos have been posted. Your armor contains all elements necessary for Centurion. With that, I would like to congratulate and welcome you to Centurion!!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: There seemed to be one concern regarding your sides. The requirement is that there be no separation between the kidney and ab at the sides. When I see armor that is generous with the plastic side extensions and here is overlap, I will suggest to trim it down. However in this case, Rowan is just a smaller circumference than the armor itself. By trimming the kidney, he would compromise the kidney notch, and by trimming the ab he would compromise the snap location. If, Rowan, you fell that you want to trim this and tackle re-doing a new kidney notch go for it. I am not requiring it, though. Congratulations again!!!
  11. Germain should get his own hero theme song!!!
  12. AP is one of the most straight forward helmets to build. I personally wouldn't change the centerpoint of the seam since the ears can mostly be trimmed right along the ridge lines and fit very well. Regardless, take it slow and sneak up on those ridge lines. You can always trim a little more but you can't put back if you trim too much
  13. Wow! A lot of work on those thighs but it SO paid off!
  14. Ah the smell of progress
  15. Hopefully none of that plastic transfers into your clothes.
  16. Can you please post a pic of your neckseal?
  17. Outstanding paint work on the helmet. I like to outline like you! Great work. I would extend the frown a bit. End at the 5th tooth indent then continue past to the pointed end http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/image/2246-anhstuntfrown1/
  18. Awesome armor as well. Paul is a master
  19. Thank you Eric!!
  20. Looking forward to another sweet bucket!
  21. Nice work on the mini plexi glass cutting. Check photo references regarding the size of those screws. They are tiny. You might need to downsize those a bit
  22. You nailed that helmet so far!!
  23. To the person who nominated me for DCO, Like the title states, it was a HUGE honor and surprise to see my name on that list. However everyone, I feel, has their place within a machine and being in charge of that machine is just not in the cards right now. I sincerely appreciate the nomination.
