There's too many myths in this hobby. ROTJ still look like crap compared to ESB and ANH in my opinion. It just looks like they got really sloppy and lazy at the close of the trilogy...or at least focused on things other than TK's. Ilike the TB's tho, cuz its a cool costume...and you can sit down in it.

Ive seen the symmetrical versions of Vader and the TK helmets, youre right they look nothing like the originals. Never persued that aspect with Fetts. The aforementioned mold collapsing was why most of the ROTJ helmets look like poodoo.

I think triktoys ebay user name is "triktoys" maybe with a number but his user name is some form of the word triktoys. As far as trik toys goes, Ive never heard of someone just not getting their stuff, they might have over paid for what they got but they at least got it.

IMO thats exactly what CG stuff is missing, that real world organic feel.

HOW TO REQUEST: Bucket Electronics

That is one sweet interior! -
I'd been watching those...almost as bad as the guy selling this.---------- I mean, I dont even know what that is....

My take on this: Go with the best of both worlds. I like my TK suit to look like an average of all the TK's in the OT. A TK missing a knee plate was a mistake, the asymmetricalness of the helmets were not a mistake. Ear gaps wouldnt be on real armor so I filled my gaps with bondo. But it still has the asymmetricalness (thats the second time Ive used that word and I really dont think it even exists) of the original. My goal is to look like Im wearing Stormtrooper armor not a Stormtrooper costume. Not a big fan of FX helmets. I do like the MRCE's tho because with enuff elbow grease and a little heat induced reshaping they can look pretty original. I am very disapponted with the symmetrical approach MR took with most of thier helmets. Dot get me started on the prequels. I hate CG with a passion. There isnt a part in the prequels that can hold a candle to the one moment in ESB where Vader say's "No, I am your father." I'm gonna stop before I end up writing my next college thesis on why OT > the Prequels.

Oh well by TE line I meant the decendants of the DaveM and Brian R helmets. Same difference in my eyes. I talked to 1491 about his SDS and he said the dimples arent there because its a battlespec. Anybody have the stunt helemt? I rememebr Danny Choo had an SDS but it was the BattleSpec as well. -

In light of the new discovery of the dimples in the tear traps, would someone who owns a Shepperton helmet look to see the dimples are present. If the helmet is not a recast of the TE line and is from the original molds as AA claims, it stands to reason that a Shepperton Helmet should have the dimples as well. Hopefully a Shepperton owner can put my suspicions to rest. -
I was wondering what happend to ya. Hey look at it this way, if the Empire wanted you to have a wife, they'd have issued you one. Little military humor there. Best o luck Tim, hope to see you posting again soon!

I wouldnt say that, what I would say is that Gino is a bit expensive for my blood and that if I were to buy a Helmet from Matt I would try to time it such that he wasnt "off his medication" at the time as he can be a bit bipolar for my taste. -
Ok then, what I'll do is cut some strips that are exactly like mine and send em to you. That way all you'll have to do is drill you some rivit holes and bend em to work, I'll send you some pics of how mine is attached. Mine is mostly held it place with the clips and then a strip of velcro keeps it from moving once its in place. I'll build the strips Monday night.

Is your TD a perfect cylinder or does it have flat areas that the clips are supposed to mount too? Mines a perfect cylinder but most that I have seen have the flat mounting sections made into them. Send me a pic. Or better yet send me your TD and I'll just put the mounts on there myself. I finally got to go on a troop for the first time last weekend. My TD never budged thank goodness, maybe we can get yours to do that too!

Looks great Kris! I see you got your TD attached.

Just need a few shots verifying the separation of the butt plate, no side gaps, and green lens and I think youre set. Oh an some close ups of the blaster. Butt at first glance, it definitely looks elite once the holster is corrected. Fantastic looking armor! One last thing tho, its looks like you have an underarmor logo exposed on the back of your neck.

What are the odds we can just cut and paste these repetative claims/arguments/points/counter points from the other 3 or 4 "Gino vs. the World" threads and save everyone alot of typing? Admit it, we've all heard most of this before. I do like the new Laws helmet tho. -
Looking good Lizzy! Only recommendation that'd make is bring the brow up a little higher. Other than that its top notch in my book

It's gotten to the point that there are so many helmet makers out there feeding off the Dave M and Brian R carcasses that I dont care anymore. Hows the quality? Good? ok then make lots of them. -
Thats frikken nice. Whens the run start?

New alternative to CA Boots
Smitty replied to Billhag's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
I thought there was hold on CA boots, due to looking for a new manufacturer. As far as starfortress goes, they still look better than the knee high white boots trik toys sells. Whats up with that, That guy knows enuff about the hobby to know that those knee high roach stompers wont work, yet markets them as stormtrooper boots anyway.
