  1. Great stuff Rick! And that's a very nice kit you got there
  2. IMHO I don't think it matters, as long as you do in fact eat something. I never eat before a run, working out, or a game, it makes me want to puke. I eat afterwards when I can relax.
  3. Unfortunately EIB requirements do not allow for riveted shoulder straps. Depending on the kit you could maybe cover them up with bondo, or maybe some contact some of the armourers to see if they can send you a new set.
  4. I believe it was 15mm on arms and 20mm on legs. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  5. @ Christaan, excellent pics, very clear, thank you!
  6. Thanks Terry! I saw that pic of Mark's Tutorial, but I couldn't tell from it which parts snapped to the ABS Belt and which part(s) snapped to the ab. It looks like on the on the belt the outer two were male and the inner one female. Any ideas?
  7. Thanks guys, this is great stuff I have 3 snaps on the ABS belt (female) and one snap on the middle of the ab (male) and I don't want to permanently attach the canvas and ABS because I plan on doing an ESB variation at the end of the year. Keep it coming!
  8. Hey Guys and Gals, I have recently upgraded my AP half belt (lol) to a beautiful full length belt from flukstarbucker (thanks Will). So, I sit down last night and think, how do I: First, attach it to the ABS belt? and Second, how do I secure it to my ab so it doesn't slip down? For the AP belt, it was pretty simple (for those of you not familiar with the AP belt, it is two pieces that velcros together at the back, then is attached to either end of the ABS belt) I just snapped it to either end of the ABS belt, then had one snap in the middle of the ABS belt which then snapped directly to the ab. So, I thought I'd put it out there and see how everyone else does it, then of course, steal the best idea(s) Thanks Gang,
  9. Hey Paul, For curiosity's sake, why couldn't you get the TE2 shins to work?
  10. Hi Ryan and welcome to the forums! Actually the FX kit doesn't exist anymore, it has been replace by AM. If you check around the forums Pandatrooper and TKrestonva (two vets and all around great guys) are doing build threads, so you may want to check those out. Also, for your size, pretty much any kit will fit you, so don't worry about that. Spend some time and read up and you'll find the answers you're looking for Don't rush anything and as a general rule, be wary of Ebay. Good luck! Matt
  11. Hey gang, Just a quick update to say there hasn't been much of an update, lol. I've been playing soccer 2-4 times a week, but am still lingering at about 220. I think it's just what Tif said and my body adjusting and developing some muscle. Feeling great tho, nothing like collapsing on the couch and feeling those aches after a good night of ball. Stay tuned Matt
  12. Turned out great Eric! Great job
  13. I haven't tried it, but IMHO think it would look awfully thick at the back. If you're going to try it, I would suggest making the overlap face inward for aesthetic purposes. My $0.02
  14. Hey Jesse, click on the link below and follow the instructions to get 501st status, which is required before applying for EIB status. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=16 Great build man and welcome aboard!
  15. Woo hoo! I'm not the new guy anymore! Lol, jk Congrats Brian, great job, my buddy lived in Wisconsin for about 5 years, now that he's back we always have interesting "debates" about the Badgers v Spartans, Go State!
  16. Yeah, anything light, you just don't want it to leave a residue, I think I used dish soap if memory serves.
  17. For mine, I just washed them in a light detergent, let dry, glue (E6000), then primer (3 coats) then paint. For paint I did two coats of rustoleum metallic silver and gold (gold for the scope) then covered it with rustoleum satin black. For pics see here (scroll down to the blaster portion) ----------
  18. I love that interior! You need fans in there dude or you're gonna pass out on your first troop, lol. Seriously tho, buy at least two
  19. Looking great Mr. NoStripes You're right about the AP and ROTJ, it is widely believed that the AP was cast of an ROTJ suit. You may want to attach the biceps to the shoulder bells to keep them up and prevent them turning on you, and put some foam in the forearms to keep them up. I was thinking that the painted bucket wouldn't match the armour, but it looks spot on, awesome job!
  20. Here's what I did: ----- My thighs are about 28" at the thickest, I had to buy extra ABS, hope it helps!
  21. I used 2 strips of industrial strength velcro, speaker facing away from your chest into the plate, works like a charm for me. I also mounted the wireless unit beside it in the same fashion.
  22. Hey Jesse, he's not likely to respond to any inquiries, he didn't mine, but I ordered anyways due to his rep. If you buy it on his website tho, you will get it within a month.
  23. Wow, that's epic, too bad you don't still have it!
