I picked up an AP holster with my AP kit and I immediately regret it. The backing should be tanned leather not black, and yeah, I believe canon is unstitched on hte bottom. On another note, my hasbro won't fit without cutting the holster. So I will be upgrading once I get some more credits in the account.

Hey guys, Well after 3 months of patiently waiting (well not so much patiently the UPS guy dropped off my AP kit today! I've been going over tutorials religiously over the past few months and even have Stuka's printed out and ready to go. The guys at the Canadian Garrison are having an armour party soon so in addition to you fine fellas, I think I have a pretty good support base for my first build. Yeah, that's definitely it guys, I did track down that thread on rpf and you're right Joey, it's definitely worth a read! @ Aiwei, now that you mention it, it does kind of look "FX-ish" I guess that would make sense considering it's probably the biggest out there and you would need the room to fit everything. So I guess the question would be, could one make a moderately "functional" version of this for trooping? I would think everything would have to be scaled down and go without the "optics" for the eyes.

Hey Guys, Sorry if this has been brought up somewhere else, but I did some searches and couldn't find anything. There's a pic in this book of the inside of what would be an "actual" Stormtrooper helmet (Sorry, no pic, but it's a pretty easy Google search) I also saw something like this in an MR model. Was just wondering if anyone has actually done it and if they have, did they troop in it, or was it just for show? Thanks!

Are you set on "Closed Mask" Stewie, or would you be open to "Open-Face" Stewie?

I'm having the same problem Terry, can't seem to find them anywhere. My only advice would be to check maybe your local comic shops and see if they have any left. Unless, our UK brothers can attest to the reputation of the shops across the pond. Let me know how you make out,

It's not a mannequin, but I really like how TK 1336 displays his armour (follow link and scroll down) I think he even has a "how to" on how he builds it somewhere on the site, but last I checked that portion of the website wasn't completed. ------------ Oh and Vic - Admin should make you "Officer of Comedy Relief" or something, too funny man! Lol.

As a new guy as well, I went the "modified" hasbro route. Mainly because I already had one lying around and it seemed like an easy segue into the hobby. After investing in an AP kit, I didn't have much extra dough lying around. However, I modded to EIB specs so in the long run I don't know if I came out much better than say picking up a Hyperfirm kit.

Thanks Robert! I actually stumbled across Riveting's tutorial and based mine on that, turned out pretty good, but it was a lot of work. I just have to sew the skirt on. Happy New Year!
