  1. I know! Although, I imagine given how popular it is, they will probably re-release or something. Here's hoping
  2. Hey Terry, Not lookin good man, this is from the Canadian Funko Distributor. Hello Matt, Black Cat Importers is the Canadian Distributor for Funko Bobble Heads. The Darth Stewie Bobble Head you have enquired about is discontinued and most likely not available in retail stores. It was an extremely popular product. Your best bet might be the internet. Thank you for your interest. Regards, Howard Lusthaus President howard@blackcatimporters.com www.blackcatimporters.com 1-877-blakcat 1-416-999-4377 (direct)
  3. Are you set on "Closed Mask" Stewie, or would you be open to "Open-Face" Stewie?
  4. I'm having the same problem Terry, can't seem to find them anywhere. My only advice would be to check maybe your local comic shops and see if they have any left. Unless, our UK brothers can attest to the reputation of the shops across the pond. Let me know how you make out,
  5. It's not a mannequin, but I really like how TK 1336 displays his armour (follow link and scroll down) I think he even has a "how to" on how he builds it somewhere on the site, but last I checked that portion of the website wasn't completed. ------------ Oh and Vic - Admin should make you "Officer of Comedy Relief" or something, too funny man! Lol.
  6. As a new guy as well, I went the "modified" hasbro route. Mainly because I already had one lying around and it seemed like an easy segue into the hobby. After investing in an AP kit, I didn't have much extra dough lying around. However, I modded to EIB specs so in the long run I don't know if I came out much better than say picking up a Hyperfirm kit.
  7. Wow, never seen a smoke effect on a blaster before, great stuff Jim, thanks for sharing!
  8. Thanks Robert! I actually stumbled across Riveting's tutorial and based mine on that, turned out pretty good, but it was a lot of work. I just have to sew the skirt on. Happy New Year!
  9. I just ordered a DLT-19 from Sci-fire, if you guys like, I can take some pics and let you know what it's like when it gets here.
  10. Great list! My only addition would be "Bad Santa." But that's to watch while wrapping gifts after the younglings are in bed
  11. Terry's helped me out a ton, always available to answer questions and help a brother out with some garters! . . . erm, wait, that sounded wrong, lol, But yeah, Panda all the way
  12. Hey Guys, Got my Doopydoos today. so that too about 12 working days to get from the UK to Canada, which isn't horrible. Quality seems pretty good too.
  13. We're due for our first snowfall of the year in the Toronto, Canada area, glad I picked up that 4x4 last month!
  14. No'l makes an excellent point, gauge is only one part of it. Having just recently went through the tedious exercise of selecting armour myself, you really have to know what your goals and priorities are, because everyone's different and there is no "one" armour that is the be all and all. So many good makers out there and they all have their tiny differences. How important are things like quality, price, durability, screen accuracy? Also, is it readily available? How difficult is it to assemble? What is best for your body type etc. You really can't get too much info on the subject, this forum and the great guys/gals on here are a tremendous help. In the end I decided on AP because of it's reputation, quality, screen accuracy (aiming for EIB) and to boot he's a fellow Canuck, so you can't beat that Hope that helps,
  15. Argh, I just read a thread on all of this and now I can't find it! I'm new too, but when speaking of "80 gauge" it's the imperial measurement of 0.80. Conversion 0.80 = 2mm (approx) 80 gauge is pretty popular (used by AP for one) So the simple answer is the higher the gauge the thicker the armour. Generally you don't want anything too thin unless your collecting or for display cuz it won't be good for trooping. Hope that helps,
  16. Haha, I always use "Shooter" cuz years ago my one buddy insisted I look like Shooter McGavin from Happy Gilmore (I don't see it, lol) Wouldn't ya know it, it stuck. Although when I'm playing soccer and the other team hear's it they assume I have some kind of wicked shot, and double cover me, little do they know . . . . lol.
  17. I'm with IM 0889, I was racking my brains at first what to pick, but then I thought it would be cooler if the 501st just issued you a number (as I imagine the Empire would), that way it has it's own meaning. So, when I apply, I'm gonna leave it to my GML to decide.
  18. Ha, ha, awesome! I'll definitely have to try that with the pooch! Lol.
  19. Hey Guys, Decided to go with TK6294's with the extra wireless headset, it seems like a really good unit for the price and it comes highly recommended by two fellow Canadians, lol. Thanks for all of your help!
  20. Hey Guys, I'm gonna give a go at making my own neck seal and have been debating what material to use. I would like to get it as close to screen accurate as possible and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for material? Thanks!!
  21. Thanks guys, a lot to think about! Are most of these units (Rom FX, Hyperdyne, Voice Core, TK 6294's) ready to go out of the box? Electronics are not my forte, lol.
  22. I'm in the process of doing exactly the same thing, what I've had success with is drilling a small pilot hole, then I use the Dremel cone shaped grinding tool to expand it and make it circular. I go slow and it seems to work okay for me. My biggest challenge is getting the holes to line up, lol. Hope it helps,
  23. Hey guys, Sorry for the new guy question, but is Rom FX the only voice amp that does the automatic static burst? Thanks!
  24. Awesone pics man! I didn't know there was going to be props and stuff there, very cool and about that whole "Luke" thing, just remember, Once you start down the path to the dark side . . . well you know the rest, lol.
  25. LOL, Finally, a practical use for Twitter!
