  1. Great job! I wore a PVC catsuit with my femtie and almost passed out after a day at the con! LOL, very hot stuff! She looks amazing though!
  2. yep, old FX, and on a very short person at that. shim the sides, get the buttons and belt and you'd look good!
  3. Oh man, that is just too awesome! Looks amazing!
  4. My fav line is "aren't you a little tall for an Ewok?" Always gets a laugh
  5. I have seen a 5'4". so I think you can do it. I am 4'11", and wear shortened guy parts for my arms and legs.
  6. I hate to say it, but this looks like a pretty decent story! The cross dressed femtrooper was unexpected! What no Thermal Dets? Clearly they did not consult FISD!
  7. I saw some guys take an extra strip of plastic, fold it over and then make loops over the entire belt, Can not be grabbed off that way
  8. If you send me your address, I'll drop a couple of tubes of E-6000 in the mail for you, along with my femtrooper and Juno card
  9. Looking good! I am not a fan of the ABS glue, I used it on my first femtrooper build, and it takes forever. I switched to E6000 and never went back. I also think the blue is French blue now instead of midnight, but read up on the guides here. The biceps are a great place to start. I have seen the guys here overlap the AM OK, just have to "notch" the return detail off the lower piece. But as others have said, butt-seam with a cover strip detail looks much more smexy!
  10. TK5707 is the Outpost FISD attache, and is always helping troopers. Last month, an Outpost clone had his family van blow the motor. Another trooper towed him home, and then TK5707 gave him his old work van that night. The trooper really needed a family van, so he sold his Bacara clone to get a down payment. With that, and the help from the old van, he got a new one. But it did not end there. The trooper then had no armor to be 501st approved or troop in. TK5707 was working on his TK for expert, had just added on a AP helmet, new dooydoos blaster, latex hand guards, TD clips, etc, but he had his Rex clone. He sold the whole TK setup to the trooper for $1, and shrugged it off, just saying "why should I have two sets of armor, when my brother trooper has none." Wow, that was very cool! He'll never toot his own horn, so I am posting the story There was also another time that a trooper got in a car accident and cracked the radiator. It was towed to an impound lot, and needed to get out of there right away because if high fees. TK5707 is a good mechanic and went out to get it running. The trooper went to buy a new radiator, and the card was declined. TK5707 tossed it on his card, installed it, got the guy out of the impound yard and back on the road.
  11. Nice! Hope you get to visit the PAC501 HQ soon!
  12. Can wet sand it down, and then polish with novus and it'll look great! I like the shiny look on the Deathstar troopers, leave the banged up look for clones and sandies
  13. Awesome! Congrats!
  14. Good Deal! Congrats! Got a neck seal, belt, and gloves on the way? Holster/blaster? E-6000? Velcro? Snaps? CA Glue? Paint? LOL Welcome to the TK world!
  15. The E600 does not get hot, it is just a goo...sorta like rubber cement. I help build here, I have seen the plastic plates done, but the Outpost guys are using the nylon pieces with snaps glued in. They are fast builders, and use E6000 in the middle, then sorta tack weld the seams with CA glue and accelerant, which does get hot. I have never seen them deform any armor.
  16. Nice job! I am digging it! What did you use for the rear bolt?
  17. Looking great! Commander Fox in my photos is the PAC501 GML to approve your armor BTW
  18. Yep! Aloha tower, great time! You should plan on hopping over next year Darth! I still have femtrooper, sort of my signature look I almost wore Slave Leia, but with the guys in armor, I want to match. I'd love to do a fem clone one day!
  19. Doh! I never thought about stretching the spring out! Sometimes the simplest solutions....Not sure if I'll take the rear cap off and try again or not. It is E-6000'd on pretty good! I did not think to take a pic of my rear bolt build, but I think I'll be helping a trooper build one like it soon!
  20. Yep, a pin right there is perfect! I also just drilled out the old caps and cleaned up with a dremel. I cut the heads off and glued them on, but I think other people thread them in.
  21. will see what I can find, thanks for the tip! I did not realize how dusty it was until I saw the pics LOL! I used steel wool to scuff up the paint. Will clean it up some!
  22. The local press took some shots of our appearance
