  1. The attention to detail you guys have never ceases to amaze me. Good job! Looks like you all are on to something here!
  2. I was recently deployed on a special morale mission for the troops. They let me keep my E-11 and helmet, but the supply sergeant had a special issue uniform for this detail! I was tasked with heading to a little planet called "Endor", and sharing some Christmas spirit with the deployed troops. It really is not a bad little planet, all green and lush, with these cute little teddy bear people that danced and sang! I really enjoyed the trip! Seems like a dream outpost, they even let me zip around on a speeder bike for a while, wow! What a rush! Merry Christmas troopers! Thanks for allowing me to share with all the Stormtrooper fun, I love you guys! I am now at my one year anniversary in the 501st, and will always remember this special time! I have made some wonderful friends, and am very proud of all the community support performed by our little Outpost! I am honored to be a small part of what you guys do.
  3. TK is and always will be the classic Star Wars look. Nothing is better IMHO. TD is still a stormtrooper, so they are OK. I think so many troopers go biker scout so they can sit down and just flip up the visor for air! For so many, TK is the "gateway drug" that gets them started, and then they build other more difficult costumes once they are in the 501st. But I think every trooper should have a TK available. ALl that being said, I do not "dislike" any 501st costume. They are all amazingly detailed and built to standard. But TK is always my favorite. I just wish I was tall enough to wear one.
  4. He has been fairly out of touch with the Outpost, certainly a busy guy. No response yet.
  5. Daetrin built an armor set with TE2 though, maybe he knows the paint?
  6. Once person in our Outpost did not like the AM shins, and picked up just a set uf standard FX to replace them, and they looked good. I'd say you could do the same with the thighs. There are also people who replace the AM chest with RT/MOD, I have never seen it in person, but I hear the colors match well and he sells seperate parts.
  7. I agree of course, but the best ones are nerdy girls, who like Star Wars and video games, but can still dress up and look hot when needed
  8. Kinzie? She is cool and all, but not quite the look I am going for lol! I made some inquiries about the jacket, I think I can do something by April!
  9. I play games a little myself. I am into "Skyrim" right now, but I've been watching my Outpost buddies play the new "Saints Row the Third", and I really like the upgraded Shaundi! And the cool part is it looks like a Juno Jacket with extra piping and bits Our con here is in April, and I think I can pull this off! The pants are off the shelf. She has some rocking' boots, and I am sure I have the attitude! Julie
  10. Great job! I wore a PVC catsuit with my femtie and almost passed out after a day at the con! LOL, very hot stuff! She looks amazing though!
  11. yep, old FX, and on a very short person at that. shim the sides, get the buttons and belt and you'd look good!
  12. My fav line is "aren't you a little tall for an Ewok?" Always gets a laugh
  13. I have seen a 5'4". so I think you can do it. I am 4'11", and wear shortened guy parts for my arms and legs.
  14. I hate to say it, but this looks like a pretty decent story! The cross dressed femtrooper was unexpected! What no Thermal Dets? Clearly they did not consult FISD!
  15. I saw some guys take an extra strip of plastic, fold it over and then make loops over the entire belt, Can not be grabbed off that way
  16. If you send me your address, I'll drop a couple of tubes of E-6000 in the mail for you, along with my femtrooper and Juno card
  17. Looking good! I am not a fan of the ABS glue, I used it on my first femtrooper build, and it takes forever. I switched to E6000 and never went back. I also think the blue is French blue now instead of midnight, but read up on the guides here. The biceps are a great place to start. I have seen the guys here overlap the AM OK, just have to "notch" the return detail off the lower piece. But as others have said, butt-seam with a cover strip detail looks much more smexy!
  18. She looks awesome, and the whole crew is amazing! LOVE the Death Star prop too!
  19. TK5707 is the Outpost FISD attache, and is always helping troopers. Last month, an Outpost clone had his family van blow the motor. Another trooper towed him home, and then TK5707 gave him his old work van that night. The trooper really needed a family van, so he sold his Bacara clone to get a down payment. With that, and the help from the old van, he got a new one. But it did not end there. The trooper then had no armor to be 501st approved or troop in. TK5707 was working on his TK for expert, had just added on a AP helmet, new dooydoos blaster, latex hand guards, TD clips, etc, but he had his Rex clone. He sold the whole TK setup to the trooper for $1, and shrugged it off, just saying "why should I have two sets of armor, when my brother trooper has none." Wow, that was very cool! He'll never toot his own horn, so I am posting the story There was also another time that a trooper got in a car accident and cracked the radiator. It was towed to an impound lot, and needed to get out of there right away because if high fees. TK5707 is a good mechanic and went out to get it running. The trooper went to buy a new radiator, and the card was declined. TK5707 tossed it on his card, installed it, got the guy out of the impound yard and back on the road.
  20. For some of our troopers, that was the 4th trooping in 7 days (not counting Halloween festivities!) LOL We are doing all we can to get the word on the streets and get known. As big as Oahu is, we should have 100 troopers here! I'd love to see something like that!
