  1. Impressive, most impressive!!! This accomplishment shows dedication, determination and unrelenting tenacity. I believe this Latin phrase sums it up, ad unguem factus (A highly polished work; to perfection) Congratulations to the first 100 and here is the next 100
  2. WOW!!! I've already hit 1,000 post. Are we sure it's not a clerical error? Thanks everyone!! Hopefully in that 1,000, I have given some help and good advice. If not forgive my sometimes, dry wit sense of humor, and babbling. I hope I haven't done too much damage. Thank you all, here is to the next 1,000. It is truly an honor to be among the great members of the FISD, to learn, grow, help, and to be a part of a great forum.
  3. The following in blue is a PM I got from some person I don't even know called RJ, who started in on me without even a "how do you do". Sent Today, 01:10 PM It is ridiculous to lump Dan with Matt. Dan is a fair and honest man who has NEVER taken anyone's money and ran. He delivers his armor and if somebody ordered something when the molds weren't even ready, then they know they HAVE to wait. And every single email is responded to. And if somebody wants a refund, they get it, no questions asked. Which by the way, almost never ever happens. So dude, it can be fun to bash, but only bash about the truth. Matt has earned a terrible reputation because of everything you have read about. But Dan is in a totally different league. And people love his armor and they like him too. If you personally have some sort of issue with Dan, please feel free to email him personally with your concerns. He would be more than happy to discuss your concerns. After I read this and had to let my blood quit boiling, I sent the following reply to the Dan Law's champion, RJ. Hi RJ, I think you are getting off on the wrong foot, by coming to me or anyone and telling them what they have done wrong. Dan has been business partners with Matt in the past. There is an old saying "guilty by association". I understand people have been waiting years for product they ordered from Dan. In the last month or so, Dan has come on the forum and said his molds were ready and he was ready to post pix of his new armor and start getting the armor out to people who have purchased his stuff. He hasn't posted anything since then and it seems that no one has said anything about receiving Dan Laws new armor. I personally don't have anything against Dan. I just made it a point not to deal with Matt or Gino, because of their reputation, and unfortunately until I see something different, I won't deal with Dan. Dan has not stepped far enough away from Matt for me to want to deal with him. There would not be a post on this forum with over six pages discussing and dealing with this subject. I understand that you can get busy with work and everyday life, while still trying to make props. The problem is, a lot of good people have invested a lot of money with Mr. Laws. Unfortunately, Dan has not been taking care of his customers, by updating them enough that they did not feel the need to post the problems they are having with him. Reputation is everything in the prop business. I just hope that Dan understands there are a lot of good prop makers out there that do take the time to take care of their clients. A simple email, updating the buyer, can help in maintaining a good reputation. Once tarnished, a good reputation is hard to retrieve. I do question why your are the squire for Dan Laws and why he, personally, is not championing his own cause.
  4. CONGRATULATIONS ROB!!!!! Don't you just love getting those brown boxes Like Brian said, AM is taking a big chunk of the armor world... Measure twice, cut once. Have yourself a lot of E6000, and spring clamps! Take your time, don't rush! Looking forward to watching your suit come together, please take lots of pix, so you came share your experience with us!! Have fun with your build!!
  5. Hey Anakin, there area lot of great armor kits here. Depending on you skill levels and time and effort you want to put into it, and factoring in the cost, look at TM, AP, and TE2 for accurate suits. AP and TE2 both are molded off of screen used armor and helmets. TM is the most accurate fan sculpt out there and gets 4 stars by everyone who gets a kit. Just check out the builds and you will get a feel of what is best for you... Also a great reference sight is swh.com http://www.starwarshelmets.com/ You might want to check it out.

  9. Hey Anakin, I'ts an old FX helmet, not screen accurate, I would look for a TE2 ATA TM or AP lid for a more accurate looking lid

  11. no, no, no, no, Peter, that TM lid is all wrong for you.... I have got the right TK lid and your in luck, I am willing to do an even trade with you Here it is: OK, I know that the TK lid you are getting in the trade is a little fancy, so I am also willing to throw in a matching TK suit as well: TA-DA!! Ok, Ok, Ok, I will also throw in these magical beans as a bonus wow..yeah, you don't want to pass up this deal >
  12. Two thumbs up :duim: Stephen! Emperor Palpatine would be pleased with your build... "Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design."

  21. That's cool, Twin boys. After they see their dear ol' Dad in TK armor, they might want their own set I know you said that you have painted the ab buttons, I just thought for future reference here is a PDF that Billy posted here with the revised Helmet and Ab paint detail reference guide: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=1680
  22. YES!!! SWEET!! BRILLIANT!! it's some travel time... But to meet You Brian, it's worth it Sculpt me there!!! Hey Brian, you need to contact the Florida Garrison and get them there for this Here is their direct link: http://www.fl501st.com/ The sooner you contact the Florida Garrison, the more time they will have to get as many troops there for you. Looking forward to meeting you!!!
  23. A lot of the fan made lids have been cast or derived from original screen used Helmets, like "Move Along" "Set For Stun" and "Stop that Ship" and even MR LE Hero that came out a few years ago was a laser scan of a stunt from the Joiner/Kurtz archive.
  24. Yeah old FX, If you are looking for some good armor, look at; ATA, TE2, AP, TM, AM (AM is the Gen of the FX) All of these armor kits, you can see in the building threads. The builds should help you to see which one is best for you
  25. John, there is no reason to apologize. Anyone here that has dealt directly or indirectly with Matt and Gino have felt anger. rage and disappointment. You don't need to feel that anybody is looking upon your suit in any other way than it's one of the many great armor kits that are here. The one thing that I see is that you put heart and passion into your build and that shows in the end results. That is half the battle. Don't let want a few narrow minded people disillusion you, stand proud with your armor.
