3. And keep any references you have used as sometimes a GML (garrison membership liaison) may only be using the CRL images and ask for your references

 5. That is definitely a local garrison and Legion level question. Considering the IP is owned by Disney, a major event like the Olympics may not be achievable without their consent for legal reasons. They are very particular about what they will allow involvement in when it comes to their brand and the 501st or any costuming club. Certainly worth investigating with your local unit though.

 6. Local 501st legion should be able to help you, I believe Mountain Garrison looks after events in Colorado https://www.mg501.com/, you can reach out to them here https://www.mg501.com/forum/contact or via their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MG501st/ Legion map of US garrisons https://www.501st.com/maps/imagemap-northamerica.php This forum is a Detachment we do not organise or collaborate with events, the forum is more for costume help. Good luck hope everything works out.

 7. When you say Pro, do you mean in respect to expert? We are a hive of information, some specialise in very specific items, where others are good on broader subjects. This is why we set up certain sections of these forums, so you get members / expert chime in on posts where they are proficient. Pretty much anyone on these forums with high post counts are generally very experienced in assembly, accuracy, requirements for approval etc. Lots of differing elements someone can be a pro in for sure. The more specific you are with your questions, the more we can assist with the right information. If you have questions you would prefer to ask in a more private fashion, you can definitely DM either myself or Chris {Themaninthesuitcase} and we are happy to assist as much as possible.

 10. Hi Luis, I'll be doing your review. In order to continue, I'll need you to add an additional photo and make a couple of fixes to your armor . 1- Please add a close photo of you Ab-back armor left side to see the rivets position . Something like bellow reference image. 2- Cod Rivet CRL L2: A split (bifurcated) or single cap rivet is present on the lower tab (cod area) of the abdomen armor. Rivet on must be brass or silver in color, approximately 5/16" (8mm) in diameter and is not painted. The rivet on your Cod armor looks to be with painted. Just a little dab of paint remover (non acetone) could do the job. Reference images CRL L2: D-ring mounted on the rear. For some reason , your blaster's D-ring is missing and will be needed for EIB approval. Reference Images Thank You!

 12. Hi, Welcome to the FISD. Whilst we've got a few Rogue One troopers, and soon the Night trooper so can help out, the Mimbian Trooper is actually an MEPD CRL. https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:Mimban_Trooper Their forum is here: https://forum.mepd.net/

 13. Welcome Tony. Hopefully we will have another CRL become active in the coming month with the Night Trooper. Also of R1 New gen decent. I've heard one of the Two R1 armour suppliers may not be offering them for much longer either. On a more positive note, there may be another available in 8 months or so, of which I am hoping will be quite accurate and some nice sharp ABS pulls and additional resin parts. Wish I had more info than that for you, but some good advice has been given above to take note of. Be cautious with handing money over without researching first. Find out time frames for delivery, who has used the vendor and to what level of satisfaction and for commission builds, make sure it is someone local to you so frequent checks and measurements can be made so you are certain the armour will fit you properly. None of us started this hobby knowing how to assemble armour. There is a huge level of satisfaction in not only learning some new skills, but having pride in telling people you built it to fit yourself. In turn, you will pass on good advice and perhaps teach others what you have learnt. We are a large community of like-minded people who enjoy helping others achieve their Stormtrooper dreams. We have your back.

 14. Hey Tony! Welcome! I would love to answer any questions you have about NewGen TK building. And don’t let Justin (therascalking) fool you. I followed just about every step of his build thread! Lol. Although, I did take some alternative directions on a few things. I SHOULD have done a build thread. Sorry didn’t. However, I’m here to answer whatever questions you might have! - MikeRadness TK-26300 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

 15. The New Gen armor from Rogue One on is still very uncommon in the Legion, with only about 25 of us approved, only 2-3 makers of kits, and far fewer resources than the Original Trilogy stormtroopers (with 4,000+ approved)... I have not seen anyone consistently offering commissions on them at any level of quality. Most of us that have completed approvable builds are because they have been passion projects and taken months or years. I don't want to dissuade you, but you should be very cautious before handing anyone money. There are also no Canadian manufacturers of the armor, so it will need to be imported from somewhere unless you print it. That said, there's no better time than now to learn a new skill and start your build, and while it could use some updates and I would have done a few things differently after gaining the experience I have, I did post my build thread here in the hope it would be beneficial to others. Know what you're in for, do copious research, and ask lots of questions! If I did it all over again right now, I would basically do what @MikeRadness did and collaborated with him closely during his build. He didn't post a build thread but his L2/L3 approval threads have some great info and pictures. Also, Mimban troopers use the same base New Gen stormtrooper armor, but specifically fall under the MEPD detachment, so there may be more info over there as well when you're ready to get dirty. Good luck!
