Hello all, Biker Scout who recently got his TK armor approved and am ready to mix it up with the F.I.S.D...... Looking forward to not sitting at troops. TK-578993 points

It’s an AP kit lol, one of the more difficult sniper plates to fit. I ended up heating mine and reshaping it to align the sides with the top ridges. Challenging but fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Alright, well that's all music to my ears. I was building the courage to remove the sniper plate and start over, but I'll belay those thoughts and move on to finishing my belt instead. Thanks, all! Sent from my Imperial Communicator2 points

Not too worry there will be plenty of more troops in the future Stay on target and I'm sure you'll get that TK approved soon.2 points

That is some excellent alignment of the raised ridges and a nice vertical edge there on the plate. I think you’ll find that some of the screen-used shins has similar gaps; I don’t have access to my screen caps right now to show. Some others may have some thoughts to add, and tips. Next query: it wouldn't be a TK build thread without a sniper plate question! Over the course of about 8 days I: trimmed and tidied the sniper plate; gave it a hot water bath to mildly bend the sides; glued the middle in place and waited a few days; glued the right side and waited a few days; then glued the left side and waited a few days; HOWEVER, upon glueing the left side, the sniper plate angled up a little and the bottom lifted a little from the greave. From the side it looks ok to me. A view of the inside from the top also shows the plate glued snugly to the greave, but looking up from the bottom now shows a large gap and glue that has lifted. So, should I remove and try to re-glue for a more snug fit, or does it look ok?2 points

The movie suits were paper thin and small elastics would help keep back closed to a certain degree, but .80 gauge ABS theres way too much resistance elastics will be useless, keep it as is , you can see in then movie the back just opens up. Mark (AP)1 point

Thank you for the feedback. I have been working on the positioning of the biceps and how they fit into the bells. Trial and error with painters tape holding it in place till I get it just right. Once I have it, I may add an elastic piece from the inner bell to the inner bicep. Hopefully that will address the positioning issue. Second, I have also looked at using a little Velcro to help hold the belt in place. Any thoughts? Lastly, Ukswrath, below is a pic of the interior of my bucket. Almost everything is a product of your equipment and hard work. Thank you. You Rock!!!!!! Sounds great and the chatter loop is the finishing touch. I positioned the chatter MP3 just below the frown. Unfortunately you cannot see it. The cooling system bracket hides all the wires for a clean look. Thank you again for the products you sell.1 point

Personally, I use the Novus plastic polish system. there are 3 grades available depending on the extent of the scratches, in a simple 1,2 ,3 system. The 1 is a high gloss spray on wipe and buff off to shine up your kit. 2 is for minor scratches and the 3 for heavier scratching and crazes. Mine has lasted me years and still going. No reason a reasonable car polish cant do the same, I just went with the specialty recommended for plastic.1 point

Some form of comfort is pretty darn important. Nothing worse than spending good money on your dream costume and not being able to wear it because it hurts too much. The small steps you are taking will have a big payoff in the long run. Great work so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Looks good, sniper plates like to put up a good fight Shins at times do need a little heat to help them lay a little flatter with their opposing sides, years of practice with a heat gun and it's a quick fix but you may want to try a hot water bath since you've had some success with other pieces.1 point

Hi Micheal, great set of armor, congratulations! A couple of details I could see, that I'm sure you can deal with and will give you a better look. A- You may want to level your biceps a bit, (most goes under the inner elastic in the shoulder bells), this will let the forearms go up too and look better Reference Images B- you could bring your ab belt up a bit to sit at or just above the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panels, and finally you could spin a half inch to the left to center it (green line) Reference Images Cheers1 point
