  1. Hello! My Anovos ANH Stunt Trooper armor was approved on 10/23/2019 and it's my first costume for the 501st! I'm very excited to join the ranks of the 501st Legion and my local Dune Sea Garrison in Arizona. I ordered my Anovos kit on 12/27/2016 and my BB Day was 01/11/2018. I was slow going on getting my armor put together and it spent months at a time sitting on the back burner to life. I was finally able to get my armor completed September of this year and submit my application to the 501st. It is my intention to apply for EIB and Centurion status. A few thank yous: Thank you @TK1636for inviting me into your home and helping me build my armor. Thank you @ukswrath for your amazingly detailed build thread which I tried to follow closely as possible. Thank you @justjoseph63for the flexible hand plates. Thank you @T-Jayfor the E-11 Completion kit. (I still haven't finished my Doopy Doo's blaster kit however) Thank you @TKittellfor the canvas belt. Thank you @Darman for the neck seal and holster. Thank you @FISD E-11 Reference Teamfor the fantastic E-11 build guide. Thank you @gmrhodes13for the suggestions on how to get my armor up to EIB and Centurion standards. Before: After:

  2. Hey guys! As I stated in my introductory post, I’m new here from Arvada, Colorado. I’m a long time Star Wars fan and have always wanted it to play a bigger part in my life. Now that I’m older and financially able to throw around some money on big boy toys, I’ve decided to make one of those toys a full on armor kit. Looking to build a Centurion Level TLJ FOTK Officer. The image below is what made me choose this character (I’m aware the image is from TFA). I did however jump the gun (before reading all the posts) and ordered armor directly from Anovos. I have since read the posts and I understand the possible sticky position I’ve gotten myself into but I’m also prepared to give another armory an order and sell this one if Anovos takes too long delivering. After a bit of recent research and digging through other builds, I’ve started to collect a few things. Keep in mind I usually go all out when I decide to do some sort of project. So yes, some things might not be necessary, but hey, why not? Helmet: Anovos Lined Standard from private seller on eBay (Received) Hearing/Speaking System: Ukswrath (Received) Trooper Chatter: Ukswrath (Received) Cloth Pouches: Trooperbay (Received) Helmet Electronics: Ukswrath’s 4 fan cooling system with bracket (Received) Comm System: Micom Sound Rig (Received) Phillips Everplay Speaker (Received) Gloves: Endorfinders (Received) Undersuit: StormtrooperUndersuit (Received) Pauldron: MTK Armory (Received) Balaclava: UA Heat Gear Tactical (Received) Boots: Gio’s (Received) Belt: Belts of the First Order (Received) TLJ Armor: KB Props Armor Kit (Shipped) Riot Shield: 850 Armor Works (Shipped) Riot Baton: Amazon (Hasbro) (Shipped) SE-44C Pistol Kit: 3-D Props (Ordered) F11-D Blaster Kit w/ BlastFX: 3-D Props (Ordered) Holster: R2Dan (Ordered) Gaskets: Geeky Pink (Ordered) Neck Seal: Geeky Pink (Ordered) Harness: Geeky Pink (Ordered) A few of the items I have yet to order. Still looking into what to get and what items are the best looking and best quality for the money but most importantly, what will allow Centurion Level approval. Please provide any comments or advice to help me along, I’ll definitely need it once assembly starts. Looking forward to this journey with you guys and I will be sure to post pics as things happen!

  3. Great work Chris! Good to see you underway. A few thoughts... If you're speaking with Teresa regarding gaskets chat to her about a neck seal and harness too. Did you check to see if Trooperbay still sold the cloth pouches? If not I'd recommend Jim Lau out of Hong Kong. TBH there are no 100% screen accurate pouches out there right now but all are good quality. The Trooperbay pauldron is a nice piece but a little undersized. You will want to upgrade it and it is easy to do. I'll share some pics with you. KB Props has recently created an abs pauldron that is much better sized/shaped. In regards to blasters, etc there are many great vendors out there but it will come down to $s. Eelco at 3DPropsNL does AMAZING work and he is using a new filament that requires hardly any touch up work. I can highly recommend. Shout out if you have any more questions.

  5. Will be interesting to see what you make of the 850 bucket. At least it’s an option for now. If you fancy going TLJ you can get a good deals for a TLJ Anovos Standard Line for US$329.00 on eBay at the moment. All the best moving forward [emoji1305] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  6. Hmm. Thanks, everyone. I've had an 850ArmorWorks helmet theoretically on the way for a while, so I'll plan to leave this be for the moment and see how the new bucket turns out. If I can get that one looking good I'll probably retire the Anovos instead of trying to repaint it.

  7. I can see that you are one DEDICATED future Trooper, Dave... outstanding work so far, sir. Outstanding work indeed! Since it looks like you are aiming for Centurion (), make sure that the top of the ABS belt falls within the range below: (Preferably the higher line). Reference images Not sure if you have figured out a way to polish out the dull marks from the ABS paste/sanded areas, but I have used the Novus system with great success. It comes with 3 stages of scratch remover. Available online for about 12 bucks for the 2 oz. size (set of all 3). Keep it up, and keep those questions and photos coming!

  11. Sorry to be such a stickler but one last thing before we "move along" Looks as if your forearms return edge could use a little more work with the Dremel and as Joseph pointed out Per the CRL "No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed." Once you post up new photos of them we can continue. Reference Photo

  12. Hadn’t seen this ‘Pop’ before I saw it in-store today. Guess it confirms what we had heard about Jet Troopers launching from Tread Speeders. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
