  2. I have Nomex gloves and they are comfortable. My hands don’t get too hot and they actually breathe a bit. I have yet to troop in them in the (California) winter but I’m sure they are nice and warm. I have seen Justin’s gloves he mentioned above in person and they are really nice. Being able to use a cell phone with them is a big bonus.

  3. A small update on the FO Treadspeeder trooper. Armour base is First Order but with white canvas like material trousers. The shins and knees were all bench built. The boots worn by the stunt team were a style of Alpine Star motorbike boots with plates, etc stuck on top to hide the provenance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  4. I don't use TrooperTalk but something similar and had the same issues with the cheap adapters.. I've used heat shrink to hold them in place. I also try and secure the wiring as best as I can at the start of each troop so that the joins aren't moving about. I still have the odd issue but nothing like as bad as I used to.

  8. Well, after a few years of waiting and looking at the other parts starting to collect dust in my closet BSP appears ready to ship these out. They sent me this photo late last night of the kit. It looks, well, difficult. It also appears to have a metal holster clip included which may make the one I already have able to be sold to someone else. We shall see. What I don't see in this image is the riot shield they said all preorders were shipping with. I'm not terribly bothered by that, but I'll ask them about it. Hopefully this kit can be altered to use for a TLJ build. I think all that needs to be adjusted is the cod. I'll greatly appreciate anyone with info about that. -------------

  9. Crap, grabbing the B-Grade anything was like getting next to new stuff for 1/2 price. OP corrected again.

  10. Also whilst I am here this is how I made my own fans: Fan wiring diagram by Christopher Pearson, on Flickr Pretty sure there's some photos of the build in my build log which is linked in my signature.

  11. Dan doesn't make them, the guy is Paul who is a UKG member. Not a TK but troops a shadow trooper. Rom-FX is now had it's last run. If Johns sold out then there won't ever be any more.

  12. Finally home from the UK and greeted by this. Amazed how light it is. Feels lighter than the TFA standard. What’s more you can actually see through these lenses [emoji1787] I’m guessing the big ‘A’ is doing some back door deals with its GE helmet so it can raise some incremental revenue. Here’s to the ACTUAL pre-orders arriving some time soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  15. Also, Hyperfirm is no longer around - Praetorian effectively took over for them. If you can find one secondhand, they're still great blasters, but no new orders are being taken. In other news, THANK YOU for posting this - it will be SUPER helpful for new recruits!

  16. No piece of any costume is "approved" by the 501st, let me just get that out of the way. Nit-picking, I know - but there's a big difference between "Approved" and "Approvable". Approval comes down to the actual trooper - each piece must fit you and and be correct to the rest of the costume and so on. Nothing is automatically approved by default. That being said, the rubber chemical/dishwashing gloves are the correct approvable gloves at higher levels. At lower levels, including basic approval, there's a lot more room for interpretation in the CRL. And after approval, even Centurion, no one is really going to stop you from wearing different gloves as long as they don't take away from the overall look of the costume. The rubber gloves are THE WORST and super hot (especially in CA). I've literally seen guys take them off and pour sweat out of them. Nope. The Nomex flight gloves are a good choice, but I don't much like the look or feel of the leather strip present on most of them, and they're still pretty hot. If I'm gonna go off-CRL, I want the most comfortable and utilitarian gloves I can get. I've been wearing these for the last year or so and love them. They're cheap, don't get very hot, I have great dexterity and can use my cell phone if I need to, and I just have elastic straps holding my handguards on. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZZ1J73J/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  18. The Ingame-type panel was made based on the high resolutions photos and the photos posted for paint dimensions guide, which, for some reason, now they look blur, or, at least, on my computer, even going into the photo picture, they look blur...
