  2. Hi everyone, my BBB arrived about a week and a half ago, but I was moving so I couldn't really start on it. I started working on the abdomen, I have now cut out all of the pieces and I am waiting for some clamps and magnets to glue it all together. For anyone planning on buying this kit, mine had some cracks in the ABS plastic. The hand guard seems to be the only one that has a crack that I will have to fix. Other than that, the kit looks pretty good, the armour has varying thicknesses depending on the part. Couple of questions for everyone. What colour white are we using? Some of the abdomen details and cover strips will have to be painted white. The plastic came white, so do I have to paint it or use clearcoat? Are the forearms connected to anything with straps? Same question on the shins. That is all I can think of for now, once I figure out how to add pictures, I will do so. Testfitting. Forearm pieces cutout. Split in back of abdomen armour, per the CRL. Resin details and cover strips that need to painted.

  5. Hi again Ryan and thank you for your Centurion application - let’s get you approved shall we! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements All required photos are now in and, after review, we are pleased to welcome you to Centurion! On behalf of the DO team and myself, many congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly In this area we discuss areas that could benefit from additional improvement. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. The suggestions to follow are what we feel would make your armor shine to it’s absolute best - let’s get to it! Starting with the helmet and just pushing up the brow trim for a cleaner look. Really nice angle on your ear btw As you went for the screen accurate strapping method we just want to point out that the screws used were slotted as seen in the reference image. Here we suggest to be mindfull when putting on the belt so you can walk away in style. Last on our list is to lower the left thigh to even out the gap. There we have it - again congratulations and head on out as a Centurion of the Empire

  7. Had to trim down the sides of the midsection so it doesn't show over the chest/back connectors. I didn't glue on my connecters in case I have to break down the armor for packing/repairs/etc. So my side connectors attach via snaps. Next is getting the shoulder area and bells finished. 8. I have had dye from black pouches I had for around painted armor run, just on the high spots of the armor touching the pouches but managed to use polish to remove them. I also had the black from an Aker amp microphone leave a stain when they rested on one of the boots, couldn't rub off so had to use a shoe whitener over the top. I did find with the armor I needed to use a coarser cutting automotive polish, it's a little more abrasive and once the stain is removed use a softer polish.

  9. Nice work, you will need to remove all the return edge at the wrist end of the forearms for L3

You may find these threads useful https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24487-diagram-of-snap-placement/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31404-supply-list-for-your-tk-build/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/12064-interior-strapping/ A lot of us use double snaps just in case one fails you can still wear the armor For more screen accurate details check out the images in the gallery section

  11. Nearly complete with the torso. Had to make my own side connect peices so it would sit and fit properly. These are connected to the inside of the chest and back via snaps, 3 snaps on the chest for each side, and 4 snaps on the back. I glued on my ab details and still need to paint the right side buttons. Also cut strips of abs and painted them gloss black, with a few layers of protective clearcoat. The butt plate and codplate are connected to snaps at the end of strips of black elastic. Sent from my SM-T597P using Tapatalk

  12. Well, I’m fine with Anovos selling at those prices as long as it means we still keep third parties. I’d still prefer to go support a reliable third party for a better price. However, as we keep learning, reliable, is the key word too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
