  2. While I was wondering what to do my weathering with, I happened to be in a "Dollar store" and passed the women's make up section and saw a small container of what I am assuming is black eye shadow of some sort. I thought "what the heck", and bought that along with a puffy "blush" brush. BINGO! It has stayed on really well for the last few years, needing only the occasional touch-up. I went back and picked up a few extras of the powder, and will send you one (no charge) if you like. You will have to get your own blush brush, though, but like I mentioned they are only a buck at the dollar store. If interested, just PM me your complete shipping info. Remember when weathering your HWT that sometimes "less is more". You don't have to go crazy with it.

  4. For reference I used something like nearly 2 of the large cans of the Halfords matt but that was outside so I am sure a lot was wasted to the wind.

  6. Yeah, I like this too. I tried anti-fogging solution once on an older helmet and couldn't see crap. Worst. I have next to nothing in my helmet and there is a tiny gap at the bottom which you really can't see. Very much helps with airflow.

  8. I decided to worry about the left forearm later, and instead finish up on the part I was confident was right. I struggled to bring myself to cut it at first: I was always douubting that I did it correctly. But then I thought: as long as it looks good when the cover strips go on, it will be fine. So I got to prepping by clamping my metal ruler along the pencil line I made. Hey, what's that? Then I ran a blade down the part, using the ruler as a guide. After a while, the plastic could be easily snapped. I put the two together and my fears were assuaged: it all lined up! I used the portions I cut off to make inner shims. After that, I lightly sanded the shims and the areas to be glued with E6000. It was a little annoying to put together, as this glue isn't very sticky until it starts to dry. But some clamps, magnets, and a little tape later, and she's ready to sleep for 24 hours. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

  9. If you’re going to do the overlap you might as well go with Velcro for flexibility. Most people find a way to connect the biceps to either the yoke or bells, or both. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  10. Well I’ve submitted my armour for clearance with the UKG, so hopefully all will go well..... Today I’ve been to the bike show at the NEC in Birmingham...... ok what’s that got to do with TKs I hear you ask..... well comic com was also on so I spent some time there too it was great to meet guys n gals from the UKG .... although I did feel out of my depth.... the people I talked too were so nice, helpful and knowledgable and the TKs knew how to talk to the public.... I was awe struck.... really impressed with the professional way everyone conducted themselves.... yes awe struck and me thinking can I do that’?.... mind you a year ago I didn’t think I could build the armour.... Anyway some pics The RS stand UKG 501st Spent some time talking to the TKs and they all recommended me getting a voice changer for trooping.... actually it was good to talk to them .... it’s much better to hear it from the horses (or should that be TK) mouth .... as they say.... oh and their voice changers were amazing Hope you enjoy the pics Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Hi Tom. Here is a good link for some reading. Essentially the conversation is always the same with TKarmour. Everyone says that David is a "nice guy" and the price is good. There is mixed reviews as to the quality of the armor. Some say it's okay and some say it's not that great. The ONE thing that has never been shown by David is where he obtained his molds from and pictures of his molds and sculpting process if not given permission to cast another set of armor. For those reasons he won't be a recommended vendor. It is likely he recasted another set of armor. This will be the case until he can show some type of proof that it isn't. This is the thread that you are looking for:
