Hi Josh
I'm guessing you're part of the Jimmiroquai build group on Facebook and saw my post about my TD.
Prior to approval my GML requested the black circle on the TD be in line with the Anovos TD. The righthand TD circle on Jimmi's TD is smaller and the decals provided by Trooperbay fit this. I have made both suppliers aware.
Obviously many Jimmi kits prior to mine have been approved without issue. This was just a upgrade my GML requested and I'm cool with that.
Here are some pics to show the difference in size between my original approval shot and the one they asked me to match (the one with the red circle).
- Have fixed the mic tips, put the U brown trim, screwed the ear. The screws are painted in white.
- S neck trim
- Have put the acetate green film for lenses. It's not easy to fit
- Foam (canvas from Whitearmor forum ), straps (from TB).
The result is not perfect but the overall is good. The paint job was difficult. I don't know if I'll do some weathering ...
Just a quick question, Garry.. GREAT to hear that you are headed for Centurion, but are you planning on modding the Anovos bucket from a Stunt to a Hero? I did it, and as far as I know I am the only one to do it so far. I reached level 3 with mine and can give you a few tips if you decide to go that route, just PM me.
On your question about thighs - all pieces fit relative to each other so it's best to do fittings with the other pieces and also with undersuit on not pants so you ensure you are getting proper and correct fit. That being said, thigh should be high enough but there should be space between cod and thigh. Also a bit of space between thigh and knee. check screen reference photos. Short troopers may have less space, taller troopers more. In general, I put my thigh on so that I can bend my leg and just feel the bottom of my thigh at the back of knee. But I'm taller so I have to kind of split the difference between cod and knee gap and ensure I'm relatively even and proportional. Hope that helps!
edit: this guide does not work. See later post.
So I did a little digging and figured out how to add photos from google photos. I
right click on the photo you want to share
click on "copy image address"
when you paste the image address add "?.jpg? (yes include the actual question mark)
That's it. A tiny bit more work, but don't have to deal with photobucket.
Hope this helps and pass the word around.
