Warrenzo
Hey folks, here is a few photo's of my armour that ive just recently finished building. Hope ya like it I know there are a few ab buttons visibly missing in them, but these were taken on my 1st outing in the armour and the buttons kept falling off. They have since been securely fastened back on. C&C's welcome folks
Smitty
Looks like a great fit. But for ANH you should take a closer look at how the frown should be painted. You have the right color but the grey is extended past the "teeth" just a tad bit too far for ANH standards. Other than that you did an outstanding job! TKDUEUNO
Hi Warren, nice armor there! It's already good, but here's some suggestions to improve the look: - repaint the frown as Smitty suggested - lower the biceps and reduce the distance between them and the forearms - raise the shoulder bells by shortening the straps and bring them a bit forward - lower the ab/kidney/butt to reduce the gap between ab and thighs and to reveal the buttons - bring the drop boxes closer to the belt by shortening the straps - rivet the ammo belt on the right thigh Here's a quick comparison with mods applied:
TK6631[501st]
Those mods would make it look heaps better Warren..hope to see them done soon
darren1970[501st]
One or two more Warren, for 501st clearance I do believe those drop box straps should be white and the 'open' edges of the overlaps on your thigh fronts are facing out. I got hammered on that one. The 'open' parts of all overlaps need to face inward, away from the public.
TK bondservnt[501st]
I would also like to add that the Thermal Detonator seems to hang a little too low.. the clips should not be seen above the belt! hope that helps! regards vern
Daetrin[Admin]
I can't think of anything not already pointed out. It's looking really good and most of the comments shouldn't affect 501st acceptance though will definitely increase the beauty of your costume. Heck, once you've done the above, spit the butt and you're ready for EIB too
Amish Trooper
Plus it looks like the drop boxes are held on with black strapping instead of white
Irishtrooper
Hey Warren, If you do everything Pablo has said it should clear with the UKG no probs. For clearance with the UKG the black straps will be fine but if your going EIB they will need to be white (on the drop boxes).
