TK-2833[501st]
Here's my question: Even without the counter, how are you supposed to fit an E-11 with the clip into a right handed holster? An no, I can't use a left handed one because I'm going to be ESBed.
Daetrin[Admin]
If you have an ANH style holster, the answer is I don't believe you can, which is probably why all the ANH TK's had the holster on the left, and ESB is on the right. You'll need an ESB or ROTJ E-11 to do what you want to do, which should be fine since you'll probably want your blaster to match the style of your armor. troopermaster
All the blaster's are made from the same base gun so it doesn't matter which film your going for, they will all holster the same.I suppose you'd have to point your blaster backwards if your wearing your holster on the right hip. Daetrin[Admin]
Doh! That's right, I forgot about the clip
Butah Fett
Anyone have a link to ESB TK screencaps that illustrate this? I recall the holster being on the right side, but I don't ever recall seeing a blaster holstered.
TK8280
Yeah, it was probably just worn on the right to be different, but never essentially used
SuperTrooper
You could always wear a left handed holster on the right and crossdraw.
Butah Fett
With our limited range of mobility? Half us can't even bend over!
troopermaster
Hey the holster's are only really for show so it doesn't matter that much I've only seen Han and Luke with their blaster's holstered in ANH as all the trooper's are carrying their blaster's.Wear it on whatever side you like, just remember the mag will catch your thigh if you don't turn it the opposite way around. TK-2833[501st]
Good point. I can just mount some of the shoulder strap rings that the original Sterlings had and rig up a little strap and toss it over the shoulder, and detach it for anything that isn't a lengthy troop, and just wear the holster for show. SuperTrooper
With our limited range of mobility? Half us can't even bend over! It wasn't my idea, thats the way one of the ebay sellers advertises it. If you want to go the shoulder sling, look into shoulder sings made for the MP5-k. They should work well, and to save a couple bucks look at airsoft rigs over police/military supply sites.
Jango_Fett_Jr[501st]
Hey man, do it accurately. Wear it backwards! It may look silly, but its how they did it in ESB.----------- Edited August 1, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link removed no longer working
TK-2833[501st]
Ha ha! Now I need a left handed holster, to wear on my right hand side...backwards! Woo!
WhiteCommando[501st]
Never holstered in that film. Not sure on the other ones... Hmm, I guess I need to watch the trilogy to confirm... again! or maybe it was... Anyone have a link to ESB TK screencaps that illustrate this? NastyNoah[TK]
I just removed the ammo cartridge so it would holster correctly. I hope this is OK ?
MartinSivertsen[501st]
Why would you do that? Just holster it backwards, with the grip facing forward.
