Sly11[Admin] Posted April 5, 2015 Report Share Posted April 5, 2015 (edited) Hi All Well the Mighty Redbacks had a visit from the even mightier, Scott Loxley on the homeward stretch of his epic walk around Australia, raising much needed funds for the Monash Children's hospital. Not only is Scott a true inspiration, hes a bloody nice bloke as well. The Empire took over the Queen Street Mall in Brisbane on a Tour de Force, as we marched up and down the mall led by Scott himself. Even Lord Vader took a step back to allow Scott command of the troops through the local population of Easter shoppers. There were cheers and applause from the crowds, yes it was a troop I felt truly honored to attend. Once the parade was over, we got down to doing what we do the best, shaking the donation tins, posing for photos, and looking awesome. The troop lasted for four hours and a total of $1670 was raised. Scott got some great local TV coverage on the 7 and 9 networks, which should ensure more donations come through. All in all, it was a blast.
