Looks fantastic- great job!  Wont affect the application, but can you walk OK?  Your thigh pieces look really high, kind of up and into your body armor a bit.  It might be more comfortable to trim the tops of the thighs, or lower them and trim the bottom of the shins, but that depends where the parts fall around your knees afterwords.  Just a suggestion, good luck!  Beautiful build!

Nice job, Tyler!  The armor looks great.  I'm not sure if you're going for Centurion but if you are, you'll need to remove the paint from your crotch snaps and rivet and to paint the TD screws black.

Good luck!

I do need to trim a little more off the tops of the thighs. Thanks for the suggestion Tusken RTT.

What are the TD screws? I am planning on going centerion.

Thanks guys.

The TD screws are the ones that hold the metal brackets onto your thermal detonator.  They should be black, slotted, pan-head screws for full accuracy.

In your pictures, they're not really visible, but in the one shot where they are, they do appear to be silver.

Good luck, the build looks great!

Thank you so much, Tyler for sharing your RS armor with us!!

CRL and EIB Application Requirements:

All required submission photos have been posted. Thank you for sharing your library with us!! :duim:  Your armor displays all the necessary elements required for Expert Infantry. With pleasure, I would like to congratulate and welcome you to EIB!!

Other-Armor Fit/Assembly:

In this section I will summarize observations made by both myself and you fellow troopers. Any suggestions made go towards improving the overall look of your armor and unless specifically stated, will not affect any applications.

Your thermal detonator belt clip screws were mentioned. The originals were black, slot head screws as seen here:gallery_12157_51_33329.jpgRS builds usually come with the correct screws they are just not black.  If you want to, you can dab them with a marker or black paint for greater accuracy, but it's not necessary.

At 5' 6", the armor parts are expected to come closer than most sets on taller guys. Nothing about this will affect any application. I am just concerned in the long run regarding your thigh tops, your movement and repair issues with the armor snagging on each other. Though very flexible, RS is not indestructible. If you have parts snagging on each other, cracks can occur. If this becomes an issue, you might want to think about taking an inch off the tops. However, to trim this well then form return edges on the top is an art form. Only try this if you are comfortable with the process or know someone who is.

Centurion Suggestions:

I would like to know if its possible to take some new full body shots featuring more of YOU and less of the background. We want to see the gorgeous details here. This teaches newer troopers how it should look!

As for adjustments, Please remove the paint from your crotch hardware. Unless something shows in your Centurion application, I don;t see anything.

Well done, and congratulations again!!

Thank you all so much for the advice and your time looking at my armor. I will definitely be applying for Centurion. Steve I had to trim off an inch from the thighs already. You feel another inch will be okay? I definitely don't want to crack my armor. I will also take better pics as you suggested.

Thanks again!

Tyler
