  1. i cant wait till they show this kit at SDCC this weekend so everyone can see that this is NOT a recast of RS (as i said on page 3). just look at my build thread or any RS pictures and compare for yourself. this is part of the research that you should all be doing now while you are waiting. i have nothing against Anovos, i have given them lots of my money and i have ordered one of these TK kits myself.
  2. Here we go. Arrived a day before Canada Day (July 1st). my last kit (RS ANH) arrived a day before thanksgiving, this seems like a holiday thing the first two boxes with two more coming. the usual space in the dungeon to do an inventory check and devise a plan of attack. i handled some armour before Celebration, studied the TFA displays at Celebration and have a concurrent build buddy (Clamps) so this should go well.
  3. fantastic Conrad. there are lots of RS builds documented. read them all and learn from our mistakes. the fun begins
  4. UPDATE: besides changing from ABS to PVC, Anovos site updated to state: "armor is crafted from ANOVOS sculpts"
  5. Stormtroopers carry cylindrical thermal detonators that can be set for 6-18 seconds. All stormtroopers possessed a Baradium-core code key thermal detonator attached to the back of their torso armor. The thermal detonators were specially designed to ensure that only the stormtroopers themselves could utilize them, thus ensuring that Rebel troopers could not use the Imperials' own explosives against them. The security measures for the stormtroopers' thermal detonators included an arming code. To further prevent the explosives from being used by enemy combatants, the buttons on the thermal detonator were unlabeled. Each thermal detonator arming code was unique, known only to the soldier to whom the device was issued.
  6. where does it say that AP is cast from original armour? RS is the only kit that is a verified first-generation cast of an original suit. all others are fan sculpt (and some great fan sculpts). not criticizing, just clarifying.
  7. must be a boba thing...
  8. confirmed as being portrayed by Gwendoline Christie who is 6'3".
  9. nice. i'm running campy. this is more interesting than ebay armor but bike p0rn is for another forum
  10. manny, are you running Di2?
  11. Great picture SLam. This is the only group photo i show off when talking about Celebration VII Thanks to Clamps, Pony and TK Butters for wrangling us into position and to everyone there who cooperated to make this shoot smooth and organized. Great team. The strength of the Empire!
  12. welcome Kyle the trooper in the middle (tallest) is wearing RS and he is 6'2" or more. i am wearing RS to his left (right of him in the picture). i am the standard stormtrooper height of 5'9". --------- here we are again. tall RS on the left, me (RS) on the far right. -------------- as a taller trooper you will naturally have more black at the knees and above the thighs. not sure if the RT-MOD has longer leg sections. the RS kit has large shoulder bells (as seen on screen) and this will reduce the black at the shoulders which is common for larger troopers.
  13. first off - a shout out to all you guys/gals who built this armour in time. a big task considering the short time and no instructions. you people looked great on stage and on the convention floor. i noticed several troopers with knee plates rotating around, is this a problem? also was the inability to remove the helmets more of a gasketing problem (soon to be solved) or an armour issue?
  14. thighs are missing the RS profile at the top, back is narrower than RS, bucket does not have the RS dome bumps. that's what i see initally without looking harder.
  15. be sure to read the requirements then click "i understand & accept"
  16. good eye Germain. i have 6 original helmet pics with the seam at the back. i wonder if this was typical for sandtrooper helmets?
  17. the PVC is soft and does not snap per se. like R2Dan said, you need to use a straight edge and score several times. follow my RS PVC build thread to see http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/25538-wideamgs-rs-props-pvc-anh-stunt-build/
  18. for screen accuracy the S trim seam is at the back. not a requirement but if you want to be accurate.
