kecro
I've only worn by armor 3 times and this afternoon I sat down to take any marks off. I picked up my gloves and wondered if I need to clean them on the inside? I turned them inside out and they had little black spots on them which kinda looked like mold!! Has anyone ever run across this before? What is the best way to clean them? I have them soaking in hot water with some dawn. They are the black rubber gloves that trooperbay offers. Great gloves just need some maintenance tips thx
Locitus[Admin]
Use glove liners from now on and let them soak up your sweat instead and you won't have this problem. It's also a lot more comfortable. But yes, a good soaking should take care of your problem.
gmrhodes13[Staff]
If soapy water doesn't work then try a spray of vinegar, a cheap household remedy for mold. I have tried the inner glove liners and I find them very comfortable. They were available at a local supermarket and quite cheap
TK bondservnt[501st]
I use silk gloves inside the rubber glove. then after I troop I hand wash the silk in 'luke'warm water then I apply some soap with a spray bottle inside the rubber glove and rinse with hot water then I put a fan near the rubber gloves with them folded out and standing on a support

LadyInWhite[TK]
I'm a hockey player so cleaning equipment is not in my vocabulary. polishing to a bright shine, however, is. But that's the outside.

SubSkip[TK]
I'm a hockey player so cleaning equipment is not in my vocabulary. Leaving "game worn" equipment in the trunk of your car in 80F weather works wonders for avoiding other players on the ice.
