captsafe66[Admin]
I bought my Commander uniform form Cosplaysky, it was approved easily. The hardest thing to locate is the boots. I hate to say it, but I found mine on Ebay, search riding or motorcycle boots. You will get your best information on the IOC forums though, BJ is very helpful as well as most of the others. LadyInWhite[TK]
The Cosplaysky.com NEW VERSION imperial officer uniform will be approved. So when you go there, make sure you are looking for the NEW/UPDATED/REVISED version, it says in their listing. The old version requires modifications. For other vendors start here. http://www.imperialo...-resource-list/ The belt boxes - I purchased some aluminum "project boxes" from an electronics supplier online. If I can remember the source I will let you know. Just make sure they are close to the dimensions in the CRL. I don't think they're required for Staff Officer though. Yeah, boots are the worst to find. They can't have a seam up the front. Equestrian riding boots with a flat opening at the top (not the two curves) should work. Femtrooper Julie[501st]
That is the new version I linked...easily approvable. Holmes trooper and at least one other officer here wear the cheap $30 boots! They do not look bad at all, but of course nice leather boots are better. http://www.amazon.com/Captain-Boots-Black-Pu-Mens-Large/dp/B001AH0NOA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1353210179&sr=8-2&keywords=captain+costume+boot
gmrhodes13[Staff]
That's great everyone, will cut down my searching for the basics just need to focus on the fine details now. I have blaster eyes from all the plans, hunting for correct info has been the hardest part and even now I learn new things evertime I go online. Thanks for all the help guys and girls, no don't it won't be the last time I will be picking your brains, still have a TK box of goodness to start on
Clamps[TK]
Should have said, can that company costume be approved. facepalm .... glad you got the right advice from these fine folks. I am actually considering the Imperial Crewman, cuz it can serve as an off duty TI as well with minimal tweaks (I love those dual purpose kits)
Darth Hilarious
I'm on mobilenets and can't tell on my tiny screen Are Cosplaysky's hats any good?
bjsavage7[TK]
I'm on mobilenets and can't tell on my tiny screen Are Cosplaysky's hats any good? No. They have not perfected their hats yet. Just get a Museum Replica hat & you'll be good to go. They also make the updated officer uniforms in whatever color you want (remember gray is useless, so don't choose that one) you just have to let them know. They have been very helpful working with us.
warrwolf
I purchased the new uniform but a word of advice is to give them the most measurements as you can like your thigh, calf sizes as the trousers had to be remade due to being very baggy. im still trying to get a pair of boots I can get my feet in. I put on the boots but cant get my foot past the ankle due to being full boots.
