LadyInWhite[TK] Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 I really don't know why this makes me nervous considering I started my build with this intent and working up to Centurion... Armor = AP Helmet = AP Blaster = Sci-Fire (rubber/cast) Height = 5'11" Weight = 180 lb Boots = Trooper Supply Canvas belt = er... Rob Hand Plates = AP Neck Seal = LadySewForUs Holster = AP Mic Tips = Sskunky from TrooperBay Gloves = chemical gloves ------------- HELMET Mic tips in these photos are the old ones... Here's the new ones... installed today... Let me know if you need more detail or anything... All details except tube stripes are hand painted. ------------- BODY I hated the way the thighs looked so I tapered them more and they look even more fitted now. ------------- DETAILS These look a bit dark but they are definitely the prescribed blue and gray. THE END! Thank you for your review, and please let me know if anything is amiss! Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted March 8, 2012 Report Posted March 8, 2012 Great job Ingrid! Approved! It's clear that you built it for future centurion, so with that in mind I have a a few suggestions. You should paint the ear screws white (so easy it's silly), get some inner drop boxes if you haven't already. And try to remove the rivet on the sniper knee and fill the hole. Again, just suggestions and nothing to do with EIB. Now go with with Dr Senf that I also just deployed and meet up with the rest of the strike force to raid the ship we just captured! Quote

LadyInWhite[TK] Posted July 6, 2012 Author Report Posted July 6, 2012 Bump! I have a question about Centurion! Fixes I need: - S-trim - probably some better elastic bands for the shoulders - fill in or drill-n-fill my dang sniper rivets or replace sniper plate - reverse my side snap (it's facing out not in) CRL says the rivets in the thigh ammo belt need to be split rivets or brads. Does anyone have a picture of this? I'm pretty sure I didn't use split rivets but I'd like to see what they look like. Also, does "brads" mean the kind used for paper? (except the right color, or painted white?) The CRL says the ab & kidney are connected by a single seam. I had to shim so I technically have two seams. Do I need to fill in the seam? Someone suggested painting my screws & rivets white. Is this necessary or just because it looks better? For my E-11, I have the hyperfirm sci-fire... it needs a D-ring inserted. Other than that, does it qualify, or does it require some mods? I know this is separate from the armor but if the D-ring is the only thing I need then by george I'm going to do it. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted July 6, 2012 Report Posted July 6, 2012 Shims are fine, but do try to make it look as nice as possible. For the knee ammo pack you should really use cap rivets, because neither split rivets or brads are accurate. But at least make sure they are not pop rivets with holes in the middle of them. A solid head is required. As for your missing D-ring, this is an oversight on my part, it's actually required for EIB, so make sure that you fix that ASAP. You also have to have rubber or latex handguards glued to rubber gloves. Quote
LadyInWhite[TK] Posted July 6, 2012 Author Report Posted July 6, 2012 I have Karin's hand guard/glove combo. No hole, solid head... got it. You should be able to see my side seams in my Walk Like an EI-gyptian pose in the submission pics. In fact, if you see anything wrong with those, let me know... sometimes I wonder if you guys were just giddy that day! j/k Here's my final D-ring question, because I've seen it both ways and can't remember which is correct: The ring shaped like D (one side flat) or the ring shaped like an 0 (oval not circle, both sides kind of flat)? consider it fixed Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted July 6, 2012 Report Posted July 6, 2012 0-shaped ring is the accurate one. Yes, it looks like your shims will do just fine. You will however need to replace the snap in the cod with a single split rivet (not painted). The other rivets should ideally be painted. Quote
