LittleOne Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 Hi Guys... Just wondering what you can do inside your helmets as far as 501 st membership goes... I have read the info but nothing suggest that the insides of the helmet must be exactly as in the movies... can anyone help me on that one? Quote
dashrazor Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 you can do anything you like on the inside of your helmet.. except perhaps smoking during events i used truck bed liner and pads from a hokey helmet Quote
snoopy trooper[TK] Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 I put my MP3 in mine w/4 fans . It gets hot in Kansas Quote
TrooperVenger Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 Stick a fan or two in there. Mount a mic for your voice system. Put some foam in there. Put whatever you like. It's the outside that counts. Quote
tkrestonva[TK] Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 The possibilities are wide-reaching, and as varied as the individual wearer. One member actually has a hidden camera mounted in his helmet. Quote
LittleOne Posted April 2, 2011 Author Report Posted April 2, 2011 so you would not be penalized at all for the insides of the helmet... ...i tought it had to be like the star wars helmet.com but if you can mod it it would be nice yes.... cheers Quote
tkrestonva[TK] Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 Not in the least. As was said, it's the external appearance that the 501st is concerned about. What you use inside your helmet (or armor, for that matter) is totally up to you. Quote
BlueGrot Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 You can have a poster of Leia in a gold bikini in there! Quote
bluehickey Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 That hidden camera thing is just creepy. Quote
Eric Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 as stated anything inside the helmet or armor is all up to the wearer. in fact, at times it seams that it's encouraged to find new ways to modify those details. some people have drinking water compartments, some hidden cameras or like me, a camera holster in my thigh. fans inside the helmet are popular enough and especially mic systems. get creative, just so long as it looks accurate from the outside, you're golden. i've heard of a guy who has a cooling system built all through his armor and can stay cooled no matter what while trooping. but that sounds almost like an urban legend to me. haha Quote

TrooperTim Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 Geez Tim, how do you fit your head in that bucket with the camera? It magically happens. Slow to put on and take off that's for sure. Might be able to make a video of the process. Hmm. Quote
