I've never been to Vegas and i'm getting married there in 2 weeks. I'm bringing my tuxedo with my TK helmet, handguards and white boots for pictures with my wife.

As a circus performer i wanna go see Cirque du soleil's shows of course but want to see nice and romantic stuff with my wife.

Anyone who's been there and what's there to see besides the casinos.

Thanks. :)

Congrats on the wedding.....

I have been several times playing darts. Its not really my thing, but the Blue Man groups is supposed to be one that you have to go see... Really depends on who is under contract at what hotel/casino this year as to where the shows are. They change every couple of years.. Take it from me, dont let anyone try talking you into trying the 6 pound burrito challenge at the Nascar Cafe at the Sahara....:)

Congratulations sir on your upcoming wedding! I was part of a wedding party in vegas a few years back, and after the ceremony we ended up at this dueling piano bar inside of Paris. Now I give you not the most romantic of places, but to this day everyone who was there including both bride and groom talk about how much fun we all had there! Vegas really does have something to offer everyone. It all depends what you and the wife are into. Check out lasvegas.com or do a google search for "las vegas shows and events" and add the dates you will be in town. But on any giving night, you can a wide variety of shows ranging from family acceptable to racy and a good variety of museum like exhibits.

If your looking for higher end classy restaurants you could look inside the wynn, the Venetian or the Bellagio. All are very ritzy so dont forget you wallet. ;)

hope that helps.

Make reservations at the Mon Ami Gabi restaurant at the Paris hotel on the strip. Make it a later dinner (so it's dark outside). Ask to reserve a table outside on the patio with a view of the Bellagio fountain. Your fiance will love it! The lights, the music, the fountain. Very romantic.

PS: don't bust out the TK helmet on the street, you'll get swamped by tourists asking for photos. :)

If you're willing to go slightly off the beaten path, I recommend checking out the Fremont Street Experience. I was there for New Year's Eve - every bit as fun as I imagine NYC's Times Square would have been but without the frosbite. :)

Besided Vegas itself, there are other local attractions such as Hoover Dam, at least one nearby ghost town (forgot the name), Nellis AFB (they occasionally have air shows), etc.

If you're REALLY feeling adventurous, you can find your way over to the Air Force's classified aircraft test range, better known as "Area 51". I couldn't tell you how to get there or if you won't end up spending the night in a jail cell, but it's an option. ;)

I was born in Vegas, but we moved when I was 4 so I don't know much from a local's point of view. I went there shortly after my 21st birthday and had a lot of fun. Sadly, it was a Monday that we were there and most of the shows were not running on Monday.

Fremont Street is a lot of fun, even just cruising the Strip you'll see lots of sights and interesting things to do.

I've lived in Vegas for 10 years and counting.....

there isn't too much to see that is romantic.

The shows are fun and exciting as long as you can afford them.

All of CIRQUE DU SOLEIL shows are great....especially Zumanity.

Your best course of action would be to browse the guides of the various casino's.

cheers
