  1. Start getting organized because they ship those things out fairly quick.
  2. Yes the RS idealized helmet would pass approval and centurion.
  3. They also offer an idealized helmet with none of the lumps and bumps that come with there replica helmets.
  4. I never paid much attention to that charactor and just noticed his TK parts and his chest armor is that snowtrooper armor?
  5. The finished helmet. Inside the helmet you can see the over spray from the red oxide primer and the white top coat giving it a pinky colour. Also in this photo notice the chips around the neck trim exposing the green plastic not the red oxide.
  6. I think im glad your not still in the army....
  7. Some more painting today . The chest and back gets a second coat shoulders are done. Forearms are done biceps and torso also done. Trooper bays Dame M stencil applied and painted. and I'm almost done with my lid.
  8. Great looking helmet Martin and it looks like a good colour match with your armour too. I wouldn't worry to much about all the coats of paint you have, after all it looks like the movie lids got a good heavy coat with the all the paint runs. When people see an RS lid some of them say" the movie lids don't look that bumpy",that's because that bumpy surface had a lot of paint on it.That's my theory any way
  9. your armour coming along nicely mate,i'm just wondering why glued your strapping to the duct tape ?
  10. I started to paint the armour today, I was undecided about painting the armour but when I painted the helmet and the colour wasn't a good match,it made my decision easy. So here we go screen accurate all the way! 1st coat for the chest and back plate.
  11. You've got the shins back to front. For mine I did swap the parts over, I just thought they went together better that way. However how you've got them is how RS build there's only you have got yours on the wrong legs.
  12. your talking about clam shelling your forearms, but you shouldn't have to. I have big hands and I got them to fit,its a tight squeeze on and off but they fit.I used a 16mm cover strips for a bit of extra room though you can make the strips a little bigger if you want. just remember to remove all of the return edge at the wrist, this helps a lot. For the shins I used the original closure method hooks and elastic or you can use Velcro. The cover strip here is 25mm.You can see the holes for the hooks use here. For the Velcro method, just run a strip of heavy duty Velcro down the length of the shin armor, male side facing out away from your body
  13. or just mark a line with a pencil and straight edge and the score along the pencil line. 15mm for the arms 20-25mm for the legs.
  14. Except for the high brow on this hero lid. and this one ------------
  15. Yes the RS boys have done an amazing job,the hdpe is sharper then the 1mm pvc helmet I had.
  16. just wait to hear back from RT .Dont rush into anything.
  17. My opinion the RT looks far more screen accurate then the AM.Do some research, there are plenty of builds here on both armors .
