  1. I have built thighs with strips as wide as yours and I think they look fine. You have to do whatever is needed to make your armour fit you and that is all that matters. I think you have done the right thing by putting the wide strip on the back and keeping the front as close to how they should be. I have put strips as wide as 40mm on the front to add a bit of extra girth too and they looked just fine since the wearer was a big guy.
  2. I do not have a photo of me sitting down unfortunately, but I can do it quite easily. The main problem is the thighs digging into me when I sit so I have to spin them around. I do have this photo of me touching my toes to show the flexibility of the armour. This is with an uncut ab plate and with movie strapping.
  3. Look at my chest plate. Look familiar? Whatever you see on screen can be done in TM armour
  4. These are the Hero helmets that I make if you are interested.
  5. I believe it is a variation of the Type 67 Machine Gun.
  6. It must be the back section of the belt he is refering to. I see most of the builds on here where they position their belts far too low at the back. This is exactly where they should go on Stormtrooper armour.
  7. Absolutely INCREDIBLE This is by far the best looking hero build I have seen in a long time. The armour fits you perfectly and everything just looks awesome! Just look at this photo and tell me it doesn't look like an original. This is what you guys should be aiming for - true perfection! You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. The belt is in the correct position.
  8. No one gets special treatment. Your case was a bit different from anyone else's. It was not a case of a few replacement parts - it was three finished helmets that magically disappeared in the mail even though the tracking said otherwise. I replaced all three helmets out of good will. It did take me a while to get the last one finished and we did agree to wait until each helmet I sent seperately arrived safely since I did not want to send all three together just in case they disappeared again. I thought I should respond to that comment since it seems Paul wants to paint a bleak picture of me.
  9. Sunglasses, ooh ooh, to hide behind!

  10. Congratulations on EIB and a job well done
  11. Superb job, Si. Everything looks awesome! All your hard work has definitely paid off and the armour fits you incredibly well. I am really impressed with everything. Well done mate
  12. I know all of the AP parts are smaller than the original ANH armour but you can make some improvements to arms. You can lower your biceps even further so the bell is above the top of the bicep and not overlapping it. Notice the gaps at the elbows on the original armour compared to yours? You can reduce your gap more than half it is now. You will have more wrist showing but that is normal and shouldn't be a concern. Lower your biceps, close the gap at the elbow and it will not only look better, but help relieve pinching too.
  13. I fail to see how they don't stay on. With the inwards curving of the edge of the helmet and the trim being cut longer, the trim should stay on. Maybe it has something to do with the shape of your helmets and the shape of your trims. You are using the thinner slot in the 'S' trim, aren't you?
  14. That's the one! It's the same on the other strap of the holster too.
  15. The tube stripes have always looked matt to me. #25 for this stunt helmet And maybe #230 for the hero? It's possible not every helmet had the exact same colours. As long as they used grey and blue that could have been good enough at the time.
  16. That is what I am thinking too. Though they could have used a few washers to help with the holes.
  17. It's RS, not TE. And even if it was TE, does that mean it's okay to recast?
  18. While we are on the subject of noticing things. I was watching ANH frame by frame again last night and noticed the hero trooper giving instructions to the crew men on the Death Star has his holster attached with what looks like 4 rivets (2 per strap side by side). Then I thought a holster may have already been attached and a new one fitted, but why not use the same holes? Not sure if you can see it in the photos, but you will see it on screen if you watch. No major discovery by any means, but interesting to me.
  19. Things are gonna change!

  20. That will be interesting. This is 100% guaranteed RS recast. Take it or leave it. It's a free for all out there nowadays and no one will care if you buy it or not. It will be accepted just like all the rest are.
