  3. Very nice Jonny, so far is looking great . ANH heros are my fav troopers. Cheers A
  4. Sorry for the wait guys, I got my camera fixed so I took few pics yesterday with my progress. I might replace the decals soon but they make the job for the time being. As soon as get the tips I will take new pics. The other thing that I'm thinking lately is if I should add a weathering pass las I did in my other ROTJ helmet(background) or leave it clean. What do you think about it? Thanks A
  5. Hi Michael, I would take a look on "The Prop Den" for the pictures or in Starwarshelmets.com I remember have seen a lot of pics from Jez in both places. For the Decals maybe Mike TK4510 can help you. Cheers A
  6. I got to agree with that. Very nice. Cheers A
  7. OUCH $1000 for a forearm?
  8. I'm sorry to hear that..., I'm very happy with mines to be honest. It will be great if we can see pics of your helmets. I have not seen pictures in depth of all the TE ROTJ helmets in this forum but so far I did not hear complainings regarding the assembling. Cheers A
  9. Ouch!
  10. I do have two of the new TE ROTJ helmets and I would love to have one of the old ones produced ten years ago to compare. Yes, the molds have been reworked to be sharper in detail, Matt never denied that. One of my helmets is way sharper(hero) than the other(background) and can be see in the pics I posted in this forum. Sorry to disagree Paul but at least in mines(ABS version) one thing is certain, the assembly is spot on. Also the details that Fon pointed out under the area of the mics makes sense 100%, I noticed about that in many of the pics that Mike(TK-4510) posted in this forum. Cheers A
  11. Thanks Scott, no worries. I will not get rid of this one , I like this one very much. Actually I'm thinking to do another ANH version with TE2 or a fiberglas SFS. BTW I would love to see more pics of your HDPE ESB, I remember you stop posting pics of your progress and I think it looks awesome. A
  12. For my ESB helmet I used black coal satin from humbrol, it is not very shinny but neither completely flat. By the way guys great lids! love the ESB style. Cheers A
  13. Guys you are also forgetting something, Gino's helmets are very nice but the molds have been touched up, his helmets are missing the lump under the right tube just next to the lower area of the ear caps, and these are old news... Cheers A
  14. And SDS hovi-mix? Very nice Lid you got there, I love it . If I have to be extremely picky I may use a black satin paint for the vocorder and frown. Cheers A
  15. Thanks guys! It is nice to know this tread is helping others. I would love to make another ESB some day. I had a lot fun Cheers A
  16. Hey David, the helmet that Joe is talking about is the one I posted in this thread, the page #3 . The pictures were taking by Mike. I also know another place with pictures of the same helmet but I need some time to find it. I hope this helps Cheers A http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?show...=8282&st=40 EDIT Ok, I just found it. http://theswca.com/index.php?action=disp_i...p;item_id=47459
  17. Thanks you guys I'm waiting for my decals, then I will post more pics showing my progress, BTW the neck trim is already in too. I hope this helmet looks even better than my previous one. Cheers A
  18. Yep ...I can picture that , my wife would leave me too Cheers A
  19. Very Interesting Joe, thanks for sharing this with us. THis is a very nice helmet indeed. Cheers A
  20. These is very cool Jez, very nice display so people can appreciate the ROTJ variations. It very true what you said about "both helmet types look structurally the same, with the key differences being detailing" I will go a little further with this and I will like to point that some Hero Helmets are identical in their structure to the backgrounds helmets, it is just a matter of detailing. To be more specific the center helmet(background) in your picture and the helmet on the lower right. Both have the same kind of ears(ANH/ESB) as well and same structure despite the last pic is distorted but the detailing is completely different(frown, vocorder, bubble lenses...) Actually Mike TK4510 took recently pics of the Hero I mentioned about. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?show...=5787&st=60 As many of you know I have been detailing two ROTJ helmets, a Background helmet and a Hero one. Both are identical from the same mold but the assembling and and the detail make the difference and they look two different animals. I can take pics of both of them if you wish and posted here. I hope I did not make this thing more confusing One more thing, regarding the ROTJ helmets on ESB I'm agree is a very interested debate but I see things more from Jez's perspective. Cheers A
  21. Is my computer or the pictures is missing? I can not see it Cheers A
  22. Thanks guys, still I'm far away to get it done, the components I need for the Hero stile are harder to find than any other. I'm actually looking for machined tips so any lead or help is more than welcome Thanks Blaze, the lighting was completely unintentional... but I think adds a nice touch to the composition Thanks a lot Mike, I'm putting a lot of love and attention to details in this helmet. I'm a fan of your helmets too,as you may know I said that few times in this forum . I'm dying to get your new decals, the it will be closer to get it done. I just installed the trim neck I got from TM(Paul), it works much better than the previous trims I got before. I'm glad you like it so far Thayne, I really like the hero look. I think it is great you are going for the same look... I would love to see your progress. Did you find machined tips for yours? Cheers A
  23. Very true Joe, I just PP mike for a set. In the meantime I just got done with the earcaps. still a long way to go I guess, the hero style required more researching than the background. BTW any news regarding the machined tips? Cheers A
  24. I loved the last shots you posted Caleb, very nice. BTW thanks for the helemt shots Cheers A
