This is pretty sad, judging by the pictures and the evidences presented here there is little to no doubts at all that Mark work has been recasted. I have not been an active member here for a while but recasting has never been allowed in this community. That is correct. I used as a reference the hero helmet from the pictures listed below. Sorry for the delay but unfortunately I don't have as much time as i would like to hang around in the forums. I added to my helmet a wheathering pass, I will try to take pictures ASAP and posted here. Cheers A

I guess it depends if you have a firm hands and you feel confidence to redo it all over again. In my case I never use stencils for my helmets, I really like the natural asymmetry I get on my helmets without stencils, but that's me. Also keep in mind that even the original helmets were very off. Cheers A

I got a hero kit helmet from Paul about a year ago and after all this time I am very close to finish it. For my helmet I got inspired on the hero helmet that appears on Tantive IV right after Vader gets on the ship. It is very short appearance on the film but I managed to find some reference pictures that guide me in the process to finalize it. At this point I am pretty much done except the weathering and the elastic straps, all the details are hand painted of course! I will add more pics very soon with the weathering pass. In the meantime this are some pics of my progress Cheers A

Awesome job! I really love it. It is beautiful . This is the second PP helmet I have seen finished so far and what it called my attention the most is how glossy the white paint shows on both. I really dig as well the primer inside. can I asked which brand and color you used for yours? Are you adding the straps? Do you still live on downtown? I live right next Van Ness...nope i don't own a s2000 I really like the way you r helmet is looking Joey. I also suspect the helmet may chip off around the chin area. I might try for mine TM' s neck trim. Cheers A

Thats is the same I used for my previous lids, except the TE HDPE I painted years ago. For that one used Krylon White Gloss for plastics. For that helmet I slightly scrab the surface with a green scotch brite with water. That helmet never chip... Joey I live in SF as well LOL

Looking great Joey, what paint did you use for the base white, looks super glossy. It is looking great, BTW I didn't know you also live in the bay Area Cheers A
