  4. I'm looking forward to looking forward to my son seeing it.
  5. Great pics - makes me homesick for the islands.
  6. Hope he enjoys the Man Cave as much as I did. Tony's da bomb.
  7. Uh, don't take this the wrong way but I think you're better off consulting a nutritionist, weight trainer or medical professional rather than an armor forum for this kind of issue.
  8. I hear ya on that. Sunday, taking the missus to see Batman-TDK (her first, my second)
  9. When I saw the trailers on tv back in late '76 I was hooked. Didn't know what scenes they were from till after seeing the movie when I realized it was the Tantive raid.
  10. Perhaps in 50 years and if over 90% of fan armor is destroyed or lost. Not that that will ever happen.
  11. Great primer for anyone just starting out or a refresher for old hands.

    Hit and run

I'm relieved the insurance part is resolved - predictable on their part but it could've been worse. Above all the family is ok which is always good.
  13. Get well soon. Hope you got Evel Knievel's number so its his premium that goes up.

I'm an even older bloke. As a personal friend and garrison mate, the humor wouldn't be lost on my bro, Paul.

  16. Your work is bellisimo. If they don't make you 501st, I'd turn in my own legion id.
  17. I try to entertain people by asking if they've seen a couple of droids, a princess, rebel scum, a wookie, etc.. lurking about and to report them immediately. Sometimes I'll make sarcastic remarks that gets a chuckle. A Canadian couple told me once that they had a tough time with US customs at the border and I commented on the dangers of fascism. They just started laughing their heads off because here they were listening about those dangers from someone dressed as an enforcer of fascist values in a sci-fi setting.
  18. I always thought the hose went under the helmet based on the screencaps. But this looks interesting too.
  19. Take care Tony, we'll be here for you brah!
  20. Sorry to hear that Paul. I would've swung by if I could - weekend errands be damned. As you know however another facet of depression is having ongoing health issues which prevent you from trooping or working on stuff.
  21. Ay blalah, good to see you back! Bustin brownecks is a dirty job. Speaking of which, I pm'd you on MEPD.
  22. I gave up long ago giving a rat's an impolite person what people thought. As I get older, I've learned to accept myself for who I am and pay less attention to whether others approve or disapprove of why I do this. It may sound selfish but I don't need someone else's opinion for self-validation or acceptance.
  23. Pops, about my allowance...
  24. 42 going on 43 but usually mistaken for being a decade or more younger. Downside is that people don't take you as seriously or that you lack the gravitas that obvious aging brings.
  25. I was 12 too and saw it at Ala Moana in Honolulu if memory serves me right. Too many scenes made a lasting impression on me from the opening chase with the consular ship and Antilles' death to the closing dog fights near the Death Star. But I also remember the network news as early as '76 showing teasers about it and bugging my mom that this was one movie I wasn't gonna miss. Must've ended up seeing it 10+ times when it came out. The long waits in line were well worth it.
