  1. I ran into a young dude about a little while ago who had never seen it. Kinda flipped me out. He said he didn't care to. But then HE flipped out when I told him I hated all Transformers movies....Idiot.
  2. He looks really sad, too. What's up with his helmet?
  3. OH WOW--you certain about that?? I don't have a blueray either so I wasn't going to buy this--however I am DYING to see the bonus material. If it is DVD then I am most definately getting this. Can someone else double confirm this? I just want to be absolutely sure before I shell out the money.
  4. Yeah it's just personal preferance. We all have our different ideas about what looks best. Wasn't trying to start an arguement. By the way, I don't still wear that FX lid in my pic there. Haven't for a couple years. I guess I need to change that pic someday.
  5. Wow that is wonky...Sorry no "screen accurate" for this puppy.
  6. I use two layers also. I use one straight up and down and the second layer at a 45 degree angle (if that makes any sense). ---Like a + covered by an X.
  7. If I would have had one of those when I was about 5 or 6 I would have NEVER took it off.......Wait a minute, I was already 13 when Star Wars came out..Oh well, never mind
  8. So the E6000 is just to seal the baloon around the wire? Would maybe thin strips of black electrical tape work? Or are you using the E6000 as a permanent seal? I was just thinking about if the baloon broke?
  9. Can someone post pics of this balloon/E6000 method? I'm not sure I understand this.
  10. How about using two of those little rubber thimble type things you can put on your fingers to turn pages of a book? Or maybe putting bandaids over your finger, putting the switch there, and then putting more bandaids over it? I am putting one of these together so I am following this thread closely because my hands sweat like a mutha!! Even without gloves! I was diagnosed with "acute hyper hydrosa" (super sweaty hands) when I was a younger....Made holding hands with girls a real pain when I was a kid "EEEEWWW, your hands are all clammy!" I can hold up my hand and just think hard and literally make my hands drip with sweat. It sucks. So if I can not find a solution to this shorting out problem I may have to forego the switch or the wireless unit all together.
  11. I'd really like to swap these out if possible. Has anyone done this on this helmet?
  12. Does anybody have the new EFX (or whatever it's called now) helmet? The new one with the black frown. I originally bought an EFX (grey frown) and the tube stripes were pretty easy to get off with a Mr. Clean eraser and warm water. But with this new one I am having problems getting them off. I'm still using a Mr. Clean eraser but after lots of scrubbing they are still not coming off. I am getting a little blue on the eraser but these new ones seem to stuck on there pretty good. I was wondering if maybe I should just forego trying to get these things off and just stick to the ones that are on it. I'm not trying for any "status"--I just don't want to mess this helmet up. Anybody else having this problem? I really don't want to mess up this helmet because I am really trying to trick it out...Really cool padding and a new wireless set up.
  13. How are you attaching these? Are you glueing them or velcroing them so they can be removed?
  14. If I ever do another suit I am going to skip on the snaps all together and just do the velcro thing. But, when I assembled my suit several years ago I did use snaps. What I found was that wherever you are putting a snap--use two!! Space them about a half inch or an inch apart. One male to female and reverse the other, female to male. This helps a lot. At least it did for me.
  15. I miss the way it used to take you to the last place you were on a thread the last time you were there .Now clicking on a thread takes you to the beginning of the thread. Also when you back out of a thread it takes you to the top of the page again and then you have to scroll all the way back down...Or is it just me?
  16. Doesn't the trooper on the left kinda look like he is holding his crotch and looking down at it?
  17. How are you attaching the magnets into it?
  18. Anybody got a link to buy enclosed 9 volt battery holders? Like the kind that came with the old Skullworx system? I can't find any at radioshack and am not having any luck on google. Surely these can't be this hard to find. But I am stumped. Any help?
  19. I am currently trying to set up a wireless unit. It's the memorex wireless unit and the AKER mr2200 unit. I am a little leery of the PTT deal as I am afraid I will keep forgetting to push the button everytime I talk. Is there a reason that you don't just leave the mike hot all the time? Is it because of fan noise? I also notice my unit is very sensitive even picking up my breathing.
  20. Well, I am trying these out. What I am finding that is weird is that the area that you see that is the "fan" area is actually the intake area. The wind actually blows out of the sides covering a 180 degree area. So if the "fan" part is facing your face the wind is not blowing on your face rather more "around" your face (if that makes any sense). But I have yet to put it in a helmet and try it. The noise on mine is really minimal, actually quieter than my current fans. Right now I am just running regular AAA bateries so I don't yet know about how long they will last. Do rechargable batteries last longer than regular batteries? I would like for someone to tell me before I invest in rechargable AAA batteries. I'm only trying this because I got a new wireless comm system and am going to get a new helmet to put it in. I am not having luck finding fans and I know absolute jack about hooking up electronics and switches and such. I would really rather have actual fans and not "blowers" that shoot the wind out the side. Stay tuned.
  21. Any updates on these?. I bought a couple at Walmart today and am going to try them out.
  22. Maybe it was the special editions. I can't remember, but I know it had something to do with Star Wars.
  23. Man, I'm really tired of having to change my movie collection format. I spent years getting a good collection of VHS movies. I finally had to go to DVD because (if I remember correctly) Episode 1 was only on DVD. I have spent over a decade now building a DVD collection. Now I have to go Blueray?
  24. VERY VERY COOL!!
  25. Wow, that's just about the coolest neckseal I've ever seen. I would definately be up for one of these if a run is done. I've never used earth magnets before--how strong are they?
