  1. Unfortunately im in edinburgh, so the door meshing is not easy to come by here, anlo the baseball lids are impossible to get, haha. I'll find some though, as I'm not the first!
  2. Looks like someone got his head stuck in the blast doors!?
  3. Sorry did i just say mash? well im sure they didnt use mash in ANH, that just wouldnt look good at all. Then again i could always eat as i troop if i used mash?!
  4. Thanks for all the advise folks, i know mash and padding is not used in ANH, but im going to be using my armour for trooping not display. Thanks again one and all
  5. Can you guys give me any advise on padding for a TM helmet? Also advise on what to use for the mesh on the inside of the lid behind the cut outs? As ever thanks Ed
  6. What gauge of sanding material would you advise?
  7. Ok I'm getting the impression that I need to stay away from power tools, thank the lord, I had all sorts of horror/comedy scenarios playing through my head of cutting clean through my armour with an out of control industrial sander dragging me along the living room floor. Steve, I will do a lot of documentation, from box to first troop.....I hope! But to be honest the armour is the only part I'm going to be making up, as I have little time when on RnR, so I have purchased my T21, and will be purchasing my Sandtrooper field unit too, .....sorry......please don't treat me as an out cast, I'm ginger and a smoker so I get enough of that anyway. Thanks for the advise guys, there will be more questions to come I can guarantee that.
  8. Hi Folks, I'm new on here have mainly been lurking on UKG, been making good head way on getting my kit together, BUT.... TM has made up the helmet for me, due to my lack of experience. But I would like some advise from you guys on cutting out the armour, as I REALLY don't want to mess it up. I know that TM is slightly harder to do than most others so any advise, tips, or recommendations you can give me would be a huge help. I have heard some people like to use the small power tools, and others advise against it, so I'm a little confused. FYI I have little to no modelling skills, last thing I made I was about 11, it was Air Fix, and the Damb Busters would not have been proud. Thanks as ever folks
  9. Have done Lucas, thanks And thanks for answering the question too. So much great advise and help form you lot.
  10. Very new to this, so can you tell me what the difference is with the stormtrooper 'hero' and 'stunt', I can see the physical differences but when were the two used in ANH? Many thanks
