I think they just threw the green stuff in there and paid little attention to anything more than covering the eyes. I have seen pictures of helmets where the acetate was just a narrow strip and I have seen pics where it seems like they just cut a big chunk to fit in there. Seems pretty random.

I dont have an amp, but I would have to get a decent bucket first. Then I would get the effects going...

I got them from the website <a href="http://www.looksirdroids.com" target="_blank">http://www.looksirdroids.com</a>. On that site Gino compared a helmet he built with the dave m helmet. I really wanted to build the brian r helmet, but nobody has any good pics that I could find. The brian r helmet is THE actual helmet matt used for casting the TE and TE2 I believe. Did I confuse you more?

Press down on the stickers firmly and make them come up with the clear part. They are just a little difficult to transfer to the clear, but it will work...

Worth more?? Hmmm. Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder here. I prefer to have my buckets as accurate as possible without sacrificing function and over all look. If you cant wear it cause all it has is an uncomfortable chunk of foam in it, well then you may want to reconsider. I prefer the absolute genuineness (is that a word?) for a display. for trooping you need to be practical too. For trooping I would put in a hard hat liner, black fabric material to back the frown so the kids cant see your mouth, cutter shield lenses so that the eyes dont show in pics. That would probably be it. No fans, no mics, no speakers. From what I have seen the mics and speakers are lame anyway. The speakers are never loud enough and the mic gets feedback if not done just so. I did install a fan for the rose parade though. I knew I would need that for sure.. I REALLY like what Rocko is doing with his build. He is trying to emulate the screen used look on his bucket to a hole nuvva level. I did that on my sandy too and it really looked nice. A good example of what I prefer in looks is the Gino v2. He did a great job capturing all the little details. He hand painted everything and his patience really shows in the bucket. I would strive for that.

You know.... If they would have painted the hero frown on there it wouldnt look too bad. It still not worth $400 to me though. I can get a TE2 for less

I think....for the money.... Its not bad. But for me personally I wouldnt be caught in that bucket. For someone who wants a completed helmet with all the bells and whistles and has no modeling skills its probably the best choice for them. Its easy to get too, if you dont know anybody I saw one at Comic-Con and I wasnt that happy with how it turned out. You know what they should have done was bought Matts SFS CNC sculpt. Then it would have been OVER!!! But they blew it by using the "other" helmet and making adjustments and not using a skilled prop master like "us" here on FISD. The finished product looks great as far as quality goes, but they lost the look in translation, you know what I mean?

I have sold pretty much everything now I had a AP for the Rose Parade (sold) an AP for sand trooper (sold) and the clone (sold)..... All I have left is the gifts of friends. I wont sell those. Someday I will get my TE2 armor to go with this awesome bucket,.....maybe We'll see. My daughter had a blast being photographed but after that she was done

Thanks man, that was from Comic-Con 2006. Yes it was a pain to put together too! Thats my daughter on the right there with her clone. The bucket was a heavily modified Mario and the armor was MG. The shoulder bells were MH Unk armor as well as the hand guards. I sold it shortly afterward.

I just masked mine off so no glue would get past the seam and used black ABS glue (thats all I had on hand) and it worked great.

If you do a search on here there is plenty of advice on how to assemble the AP armor. Just thought I would point that out.
