My MTK build thread.( ANH Stunt)
TK-4510 replied to Polar's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Your order has been shipped Tony. I was just waiting on a new supply of Velcro to come in. I am assuming you have it all by now. I see that you have posted your concerns on a few boards as well as facebook and I do believe that I have responded to your emails as much as possible, so I hope all is good now. Good luck with your build. It's true that I am a one man show. trooperbay is my "hobby". As much as I wish it were my primary occupation, it is not. My real business is my sign company, so I juggle trooperbay, the sign business and being a Dad as carefully as I can. I am not making excuses for myself just verifying what was posted earlier Sometimes I run out of stuff ( I keep a small inventory) and I wait to ship. I usually communicate to customers that their order will be delayed. Yours was a bit long though and I am deeply sorry for any inconvenience that it may have caused you. -
This looks like a daunting assembly. I will definitely video this one but I may call in support troops for it!! If you have experience and you are in the San Diego area lets talk!! I haven't heard anything from ANOVOS yet. I registered and put my name on the list so we'll see how long I have to wait.......
-
Did you ever hear back from them Paul?

Tested - ANOVOS interview, Building forum.

yes, I will do my best to return all emails, PM's, text or calls. -
Trooperbay.com is temporarily offline. I am upgrading the site and will need to do some work on it before I can make it active again. IF YOU NEED SOMETHING: You can visit my ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com/Trooperbay-Costuming-Supplies -Most everything I have is on the ebay store too. OR you can call me at 858-437-3093 or text me at the same number. I hope to have everything back online in the next week or so. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause anyone.

looking good bro

That's a great idea Paul, I should have thought to do that....From the inside biceps or from both the inside and outside??
-
I really can't say...
-
here is the new biceps
-
Progress pics. Here is the new AB plate
-
OK reshaped the biceps today and subtracted a thumb print made a new outer bicep for the left arm. Also Shaped the chest to be more accurate. Always hated the TE chest! Made the large forearm narrower. filled in the cavities where the mic tips go a little so they are flat. corrected the thin strip on the crotch to be crooked! Smoothed out the sides of the ab plate more.
-
The thumb print stays on the "new" bicep that will replace the old tour bicep and gets removed from the "box" bicep. I am getting left and right confused here
-
Well I held out as long as I could. I did not want to change the biceps from the originals but now I have to make a decision. Too many people are having issues with the tour bicep. The next batch of MTK armor going out will have a new bicep that will mirror the opposite side. So I guess the question remaining is: Do I leave a thumb print in the left bicep so that both biceps will have thumb prints or do I remove it to be more accurate???

starsaber25's MTK ANH Stunt Build

You could try slitting the backs of the boots and re-sewing them closed, closer together??? Like maybe just above the ball of the ankle? -

It's not that the Bass boots ankles are too high. They seem to flare out alot more than the caboots or TKboots. That would give you alot less room to close the shins.... -
Lookin' sharp. Are you posting over at MEPD too?

Steve, 2 issues that I see right away on the shins: #1 The boots ankles look big. Most of the "stormtrooper" boots I have seen have smaller ankles. You may need to buy boots that will fit. Look at CAboots and TKBoots. Both have much smaller ankles. #2 The bottom of your shins does not need a return edge. Just cut all that off. That will free up about 1/4 inch at least. Just a nice clean edge....
