  1. Well , all named versions of the FX are very ugly..lol. Gino only copied TE , nothing more.
  2. Would wash up and repaint the whole helmet. Otherwise you never will get some clean looking details after your repaint-accidents. And may watch this first: Howto paint a helmet ( Part 1 till 9) ---------
  3. I'll believe it, if i see something real from efx, lol. I guess near 2020.
  4. That's some realy great work. Looking forward to see the complete suit.
  5. I use 1000er sand paper on the areas which i want to age a bit. Than rub a old newspaper over this parts. If i want a oil or dirt effect, i use a pritt pencil on this parts and rub the newspaper over there.
  6. On this point i would agree. The mfx ab-plate does realy look like a RS recast to me ,too. It's always great to see how close TM's work is compared to the screen used stuff. IMHO his armour fit's ways better together as all other ones. The overall look of the lines is better.
  7. Well this does realy sound after a RS cast: "For auction is a set of Stormtrooper armor cast from an Original 1977 ANH Screen Worn suit" "This is a 2nd generation cast of an authentic screen worn suit which retails for over $1200 overseas." "The suit of armor was cast from a set of Armor I own" The RS is as far as i know the only 1st gen. cast of real sceen used AnH armour, so if this is a 2nd cast it only can be copy of a RS. Also he said it would cost overseas 1200 USD , so it have to be a RS cast cause there is no other maker overseas from the US which offer a screen cast AnH armour. Well...ok shepperton... but we all know what it is The only interesting question is now. Where he got a RS armour from?
  8. You have to know this green helmet from RS props is not made out of HDPE( High Durable Poly Ethylene) it's made out of PP ( Poly Propylene). That are two different materials. The details in the PP are a little bit sharper as in the ABS or PVC. No one knows if the HDPE was used on the real helmets, neither if it was PP. But this PP plastic looks very close to the original bucket which Simon has.
  9. Very silent here in the thread for a while. So lets make some noise. :happy and cheerful birthday:
  10. The first helmet i bought from them took 4 weeks, but it had a very complex paintjob. The second helmet i bought from them , i bought over a friend.( cause he finished the helmet for me) First the ear pieces were missing, than a damaged faceplate were delivered. All parts got replaced but took some mails and time to get them finaly. If i would have to decide between a TM or RS armour i would go for TM.( Only the armour the RS helmet looks killer, no doubt) Also TM has IMHO the better service , better contact and better quality. The cast, the details and the overall look from the armour looks better on the TM as on the RS. I know RS is to 90% casted from a screen used suit, but that means not that a authentic cast always looks better than something other. It's a matter of "how the parts got casted" and in that case i would go every time again for TM. But that's only my POV. No offence meant to anyone , just my personal POV.
  11. I also never had any problems with the trims from Paul for my RS helmets and TM helmets. Fit's perfect without glue. BUT:As you can see on this picfrom the "ESB Patch" helmet as it seems they also used glue to fix the trims. --------- @ Paul, It's cool how you fixed the hero lenses in, what's that stuff you use there ,never have seen this before?
  12. If you want to paint it , you can use this for remove dirt and oil: http://www.loctite.de/cps/rde/xchg/henkel_de/hs.xsl/komplette-produktliste-teroson-29729.htm?countryCode=de&BU=industrial&parentredDotUID=productfinder&redDotUID=00114211910 Or if you want to restore the weapon as close as possible, you can go for this option: http://www.ballistol-shop.de/Schnell-Bruenierung-von-Klever-fuer-Eisen-und-Stahl-50-ml-Bruenierung_B-S_310.html But i would advise to ask a gunsmith for it.He also can tell you more about that method.
  13. Ok, now i see it. Well should be an easy fix to make a c-lock pin in the stock. Would look a little bit better maybe. If you think on changing the trigger guard , here's the sterling manual if you still not have it. http://www.uzitalk.c...rlingMk4SMG.pdf
