  1. Looks realy good. Wich weathering technics did you use? Acryl paints, crayon, newspaper, rubber???
  2. I think the problem with the onepice lenses would be , to fit inside the fanmade helmet's. You would need a set for each model. I not think i would fit in an AP helmet as well as on an TM.
  3. It's a toy....not a prop replica.
  4. That's good. Don't get me wrong but it's allowed to become a 501st member with a NE armour, isn't it. Also it's possible to get an expert infantry or Centrutrion status with it. So he still can sell his stuff anywhere else and at the end it doesn't matter if it's a recast or not. What i want to say with that example, the actions you are pointing out are good, but it's missing the exposing up to the last consequences.
  5. Jup also look definitive as a recast to me , too. But this discussion is worthless, as the 501st not bann/blacklist or do anything else against recasts.
  6. Wow, that's realy looking cool. I think i want that, too. Could you share the mannequin you used ,please?
  7. You mean this one maybe: That's cause the ILM Pilots look like that: and not like the later Real X Wing pilots.
  8. That looks a lot like the prototype helmet below. Which would means, that it's a real preproduction piece. http://www.starwarshelmets.com/unfinishedstormy.jpg Above, an unfinished Stormtrooper from Andrew Ainsworth's personal collection, sold at Christie's in 2002 . Fabricated in white painted vacu-formed plastic with black rubber details, simulated vents and clear plastic eyepieces (one missing) -- made for the 1977 20th Century Fox/Lucasfilm production Star Wars; accompanied by a black and white photo of a group of Stormtrooper helmets and a corresponding black and white still. The above sold at Christies in December 2002 for $7,144. Looking at the photo it's missing its ears! Read more about it here. http://www.starwarshelmets.com/Original-stormtrooper-armor-helmets.htm Here the original auction: http://natedsanders.com/prototype-stormtrooper-helmet-from-the-first-sta-lot24520.aspx
  9. Trooperhelmet looks like a Rubies .... The Rest is just looking insane
  10. Just answer me one question: AA still claim to use THE original moulds, so why for gods sake his stuff looks so absolute wrong compared to the original armours. Just compare a SDS lid with an RS one and you know what i mean. If he ever made any moulds or worked on any of them, he should see that that what he sells has nothing to do with anykind of an original origin.
  11. IMHO to expensive for to get a nice helmet out of it. Compared to the time and money you have to put into the mod's, you could buy a far better one.
  12. What i realy would like to know: They made the armours out of some white material ABS or Styrene or what ever. Also the hero helmets were made out of white plastic. Why they made the stunt helmets out of a green plastic? They had a very small budged for ANH , but they put a lot work in the stunt helmets to get them white and shiny. That absolute makes no sense to me. Also as all the ears for the helmets were made out of white ABS, too.
  13. But that's all we know. It's all second hand information, guessing and comparing pic's. No one of us were involved to can say it for sure. May Gino will know a little bit more as he also handled a original suit and had a look in the LFL archives. But i doubt it that he can/will share any real new infos with us.
  14. LOL, u can't touch this...naaa na na na na .. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Oc-JGEFNIw
  15. Ouch ... Mark that's realy sad, so he took it all and all you got was a "thanks for nothing".
  16. Anybody here have this book? Cause of the date of making. If my serial would be not listed in that book, does that mean my sterling was deployed/sold as an illegal warweapon?
  17. Hey that's a realy good question. I would also be very interested to know where my Sterling has gone so far. Just found this: http://www.uzitalk.com/forums/showthread.php?68349-Sterling-L2A3-Serial-Number-question Mine does start with S and if i look to the list, it was made 1972.
  18. Very well done. One of the best ones i have seen so far. Looks realy close to the real one.
