finally saw the vid last night, it is pretty amazing, i am now longing for one.

people who drive past speed cameras 10 miles under the limit. and generally everyone else on the road but me. my job. waiting for things i've ordered to be delivered. old people who stop in the middle of a shop when you're walking right behind them people who ask the same question about 15 times but in a variety of ways the guy who sits opposite me at work hippies thats all i can think of at the moment

saw ironman on friday, was totally blown away, loved it. BTW stay after the credits for a nice surprise. its worth sitting there for ten minutes trust me. oh and the new dark knight trailer is up for all to enjoy ---------------- not sure if posting that link is ok, if not just take it out for me please mods

very nice, all i'm waiting on to complete my suit is the boots and some buttons for vaderdave, well i say complete, there'll still be mods to make it and to the wait for my blaster from makerofthings before its elite. hopefully if the boots come soon i'll be able to post some pics.

i think i was about 4 the first time i saw it so it would have been about 1986. we used to watch it at my first school every christmas, on the last day we'd bring our games/toys in, then watch half of it on a projector in the hall, then have lunch, then watch the rest then go home. every year for 4 years. we also had ESB on beta at home, me and my brother watched it that many times that the tape broke which meant there was a line through the middle of the screen. good times

i think i'm one of the lucky ones, never really had anything said to me, my father laughed and said i was insane when the armour arrived, but i know he was joking, mainly as he'd just spent about 5 grand on two antique samurai helmets. most people just want to know what i'm going to do with it, and look a bit shocked when i tell them its going to spend most of its time in the corner of the room gathering dust. they actually think i should wear it, and a lot of people i work with want me to wear it to work so they can see it. i don't think it would bother me if people thought i was a freak, each to there own. the only person who really has a problem with it is my girlfriend, and with her i think its more the money aspect, we're meant to be moving intogether soon and i think she's worried that i'll just spend all my money on star wars instead of rent and bills.

my calf armour doesn't flex very well as its GRP, so i have to put my boots on after, tis quite difficult and involves some pain.

they are good, not sure of the quality of the armour though, i bought a holster and neckseal from them and they are good quality.

i'd also like to big up scott, within half an hour of joining this forum and posting a request about needing a thermal detonator he pm'ed me to say he had a spare one all built up and sold it to me for what seemed like pennies. Cheers scott, thanks to you i'm a step closer to completing my armour.

i think this guy played one of the space troopers in the scene where the falcon is brought in to the death star they were hardly seen so the armour was cobbled together from spares, i have seen a pic of this guy on set next to vader and leia without his helmet on. and he's in a promo shot with vader and sever other stormies that are helmetless. it lurks somewhere in the lucasfilm archives
