I agree Billy and if it was general policy to refer to the dets, it can only drive up traffic to those detachments. I'm not saying questions couldn't be answered on the local garrison forum. I mean. I started posting on the UKG in 2005 and wasn't aware of this place until Colin booted my a very impolite person in the right direction!

Hi mate, For the FISD it works best when multiple people respond. The person asking gets multiple answers and can choose the one that suits them best. That way everybody learns. It's what the whole place is about. Understandably the UKG want to keep the threads down to a minimum. TBH, I'd much prefer if the Garrison's referred people to correct detachments depending on the costume being produced.

I'd be all over checking 'em out. MY SDS has some of these 'imperfections,' but not all. I didn't discover the delights of AP 'til well after I bought my SDS. Good chouce of kit, mate.

It's the single most awesome neckseal on the planet. I'd pick it up if I had the skills. I'm only good at cutting up bits of plastic (with help!).

I have two you can have for the price of postage. They will need the heat gun treatment to bend them, but they are otherwise good to go. They are fairly shiny white, I know the colour of FX plastic varies from time to time, so let me know what you think. These are made by John Danter:

I left the bottom of my lenses open to stop them steaming up.

No-one sees the inside strap, so both would work for me.

I noticed that and was about to post!

Never had to pee in Armour. Not looking forward to that day.
