  1. Here is a picture of my eFX.... with my very shiny HIPS CAP Signature bucket. (The first one ever made and the prototype). ----------
  2. The tube stripes are a bit darker... but they are blue... anyone know how to replace them with the correct ones? Do they have to be replaced since they are blue? I'd hate to remove/replace stripes on a $400 collectible. The stripes on the eFX are painted on....I think.
  3. Well, I unscred the cover to my M38a2 and slipped the reticle thingie under the lense. It looks great. I can't decide if I like the green or the standard. What do you guys think? --------
  4. Anyone have any advice on how to adhere the transparancies to the scope? I'm going to be adding this to a real m38a2 scope so i would prefer not glueing it. Do they make transparancies that have adhesive on one side ---like a sticker?
  5. What I have done in the past with my Boba armor is print it out how you like it on paper, then take it to a printing shop like OfficeMax or Kinkos and have them color copy it onto a tranparency. Usually only costs a dollar or two. The more that you put on one sheet, the more you get!!!
  6. I guess that I'm indeed, silly. Everytime I try to print this awesome image, it opens up the "Windows Photo Printing Wizard" and resizes the graphic. Argh! What am I doing wrong. I'm even trying to print it using the paint.net application and I'm still not having any luck. Please help... :-)
  7. Quick question, what program are you using to print these out. When I open the .png in ms paint, the image is not in a compatible format. If I open it in Office Picture Manager, it looks great, but when I try to print it, it gets resized to GIANT size. What am I doing wrong? I'm fairly embarrased since I my day job is working with computers..... just not good with image related stuff. Thanks. I tried opening it up in Explorer, but it doesn't print as well as it looks on the screen... and it's pretty large. What is the best way to get this graphic to be the correct size to use on an M38 scope? Thanks!
  8. Looks very nice!! Good job. The only comment that I would make is that your butt plate is down a bit far. It looks like you might have a difficult time walking because your thigh armor might catch your butt plate as you take a step.
  9. These look great! I can't seem to get the red and white one to open properly in MS Paint so that I can print it. Any way that you can post the red and white version as a .jpg? Thanks so much!
  10. Woo hoo!!! I'm so pleased!!! If it wasn't 8am I'd celebrate with a couple cold beers!
  11. No, they are Smitty's lenses. Actually quite dark. The pic of the lenses is taken in a window with sunlight shining through them. It's the only way I could show that they are green. When I put them over a lightbulb, they were so dark that they looked black. Here are a couple pics of my "Crack". I think that it about as far down as I can get away with. It is an improvement over the previous pics.
  12. Thanks! I haven't done the disk/cover conversion but it's next on my list! I just can't get the split to be visible under the belt since I'm 6'2". The "Butt" plate would have to be halfway down my thighs to be visible. (BTW, it's not a jagged cut on the plate separation. My undersuit kind of bunched up in between the two pieces).
  13. TK-2036 requesting ANH Stunt Expert Infantryman status. I fially have my FX and TE2 put together and ready for your approval. If you need any additional photos, please let me know. My camera is terrible so I hope that these are clear enough. Now for the money shot.... I am using my not so impressive Hasbro since I am still waiting on T-Tracks for my Sterling Conversion project....
  14. I'm fairly certain that it is allowed for Elite Status (or Expert infantrymen). You must make the modifications to it to attach it with snaps behind the canvas belt though.
  15. Everything that has been said is true. I have a TE2 and it is gorgeous. They take a lot of work compared to others. My only word of caution is to emphasize the fragility of TE2. It's not going to shatter, but you have to be VERY carefull with it. You can't manhandle it in any way. People have had problems with cracks appearing in various areas if you aren't carefull. ABS is considerably more durable. It would be great if we could get a TE2 someday in ABS!!!
  16. Wow, you're the man. Thank you! Absolutely incredible.
  17. The feedback is usually caused by the microphone picking up the sound from the speakers -creating an infinite loop which causes the unpleasant high pitched feedback problem. Anything that you can do to insulate the microphone from picking up the speakers is an improvement. I've had the most success with simply microphone placement/adjusting. I have placed the mic really close to my mouth. (1 or 2 cms). If feedback ever happens, you simply touch your lip to the mic and it stops. This also keeps the mic from picking up the output from the speakers since it's not too close to the frown holes.
  18. I didn't bother cutting the battery clip off. I just soldered the 9v battery clip from radio shack directly to the old contacts and then put some tape over it. My soldering skills aren't the best and I didn't want to weaken it. I figured that if I soldered the battery wires directly to the board that there was a good chance that they would eventually come off. Here's a pic of my setup. It's hard to see because of the flash, but I just put a small bead of glue from a glue gun along the top of the board to secure it in the helmet.
  19. Thanks for the pics! I installed mine today in my TE2. Sounds great with Stomper's Hovis w/ Speakers and louder too. I would recommend this unit over the Walmart Voice Changer. It would be even better if the circuit board was a bit smaller, but for 9 dollars, it's a fantastic unit!!!!
  20. Nice idea cutting off the battery clips. Can you show us where you soldered the wires to? Thanks!
  21. Here are a couple pics of the unit taken apart. It's nice that both the microphone and speaker have a plugaking the wiring much simpler. Here's a pic of the main chip in the "Bell Curve" of my TE2. -----------
  22. My FX holster is hard as a rock. It might as well be plastic.... Does anyone know a good way to soften it up?
  23. I added snaps to the inside of my belt and on my ab armor to keep it from sliding down. Works great!
