  1. Why not? my real hard hat is made out of ABS.
  2. Break time finally!
  3. Heres a close-up of my shin. Hope this helps.
  4. This is all I trimmed. Hopefully, your head isn't as big as mine. I still have to do the Storm Trooper twist when I put my bucket on. Your ears look great btw. There were gaps in the original buckets. I wouldn't trim them anymore. Ihad problems with mine and had to get a new set.
  5. This is so his buddy behind him during Parade marching can have a snack.
  6. I donated to the web/host as soon as it was announced.
  7. I'm curious to know why mine says I'm not an FISD supporter. What does that mean? Or how can I correct that?
  8. Your build being from DDD is making me want to take mine to a higher level! It's looking great!
  9. Here's where it gets good folks. I'm not an electronics guy. I've got an understanding of resistors and conductors cause I'm an industrial electrician. I'm having issues and I think I know what the problem is and wanted to get your thoughts. I wanted this to be the perfect build with no problems what so ever. But now that I'm almost 50, I've learned it's never perfect and It's better to have a tool bag with wheels! So, the issue I'm having is that when I connect the barrel to the stock I have to use wires thru the stock to make the leds reach the circuit board of the toy blaster that's located in the handle. Through trial, the leds worked great as a demo connected directly to the circuit board, Speaker included. But when I connect the two with the extra wire, the entire thing won't work. No sound, no lights. I'm thinking that the "Jumpers" I used are too big, thus increasing the resistance of the circuit and making it not work. The jumpers where just some Beldon 2 conductor 18 awg cable I had laying in the back of my work truck. From my apprenticeship I learned that larger wire will help with voltage drop, but it'll also increase resistance as well as the length. That's the only variable that was added to the equation! That's got to be the issue. Anyway, I've got some smaller gauge cat 6 ethernet wire I'm going to try in the morning after I reconnect the leds directly to the board to make sure I didn't short something out. And I'll let you guys know the outcome!
  10. Welcome aboard!
  11. You think his build thread is great, you should check out his website!
  12. So I think I've found a good way to finish a blaster build with this stuff. After dropping the stock and damaging the paint that I worked on several times, even with a clear coat of satin finish it was pretty bad. So I had some polyacrylic spray left over from redoing my kitchen cabinets. This stuff is pretty tough. It smoothed out any last bits of scaring from sanding. I'm highly impressed and wanted to share this because I've never seen anybody use this. I'm pretty sure I could drop-kick this and it wouldn't hurt it. I would have more pictures but imgur is playing difficult.
  13. Which sucks because I'm totally excited to share with y'all what I found to be a good finish on a Dlt-19. I'll be up all night worrying about it!
  14. I'm still having issues. I've got an android and have been trying to post the same photos , over and over again and they still aren't uploading to imgr
  15. I can't hardly ever upload images from my phone. I have to email myself pictures, then upload them on my desktop.
  16. With the Leds in the barrel, and wire needing to connect to the stock using Wago inline connectors like these I'm not sure if screwing together the two parts would work.
  17. What are some of the best ways you've seen stocks connected to the barrel? I've already found out the hard way that just mating the pieces together doesn't work. I was holding the barrel and the stock fell off and broke the chocking lever of course.
  18. A big task that's for sure. Even the scarlet wrapping is so different from trooper to trooper. Once y'all figure that out, it'll be easy to have the undead version! Illuminated Green eyes and a limp.
  19. So How do you create a CRL on a costume that's got so many variations? Grey on this ab plate but not that one....
  20. Wouldn't that be cool! Got the barrel and main body painted. The barrel has got 20' of red fairy lights in it! ( Cousin Eddie's Voice) That'll look real nice at night Clark!
  21. Speaker side painted.
