Thanks for the kind words fellas!! Now get to work!! Since I am now the Deployment Officer (Paul said since I went thru the process with the FX, I had learned enough to be added to the crew), I want to see many submissions. (Dargas, this means you!!!!) Hopefully we will see 50 deployed tropers by CIV. (I may be wishing, but who knows). Let's get to it troopers!! -

COOL!!! I will say that I wondered if it was going to be worth it, but I think it is. Certainly something I can take pride (but not too much) in. Now let's see Paul's and Richards!! Who's next?? -

Alright, I did not give up, and I went ahead and got new submission pics done. Enjoy!! o Neck seal o Correctly colored ab plate buttons o Seperate kidney and butt plates instead of a single back plate o Canvas or canvas covered belt o No side gaps between ab/kidney plates. Gaps may be covered with plastic, vinyl, or similar substance o Holster must be attached to the belt from behind instead with no loops covering the outside of the belt o Holster is worn on the left o No visible rivets on shoulder straps * Helmet Details o Grey painted frown o Blue tube stripes o Grey traps / teardrops with black lines on rear traps & tears o Black Hovi-Mix cast ?tusks? o Conform to either Hero or Stunt options below Hero Configuration + Bubble smoke lenses + Six cut teeth (3 / side) on frown * E-11 Blaster o Scratch-built, resin cast, hyperfirm rubber cast, or modified toy blaster. o Must include Hengstler counter on left side of weapon I think this should do it!! Let the flogging begin Dargas, Daetrin; you guys are up!!!!! -
It is actually done by your browser. There is a password security file that saves all this data. I am not sure how it works in IE, but in the Security tab for Firefox, there is an option where you can clear all privacy data, or you can view it. Click Tools-->Options-->Security-->Show Passwords Click view and it will show you a window with every web site your browser has log in information about. On the bottom of the window, there is a button to show passwords. It will ask you if you are sure, but if you click yes, you will see every login name and password, and the associated web sites it is used for. Now if you are the only person who uses this PC, this might not be a big deal. If it is shared, it might be a bigger issue. Just thought I would chime in and try to answer a technical question. I work in IT, so these things are easier for me than say, building a vacu-form table.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing this. It is nice to ask a question, and actually get an answer back; with photos no less. -

Do I actually see 5 teeth? Now we all know my level of education on these things is not doctoral or anything, but were there ever buckets with 5 teeth? I went thru the deployment standards for ESB and ROTJ (I know ANH backwards and forwards!!) and the all refer to 4 teeth. Am I missing something?? Cool pics, I am just more confused now than ever. -
I don't suppose you have any of these left? My kids LOVE the Lego 2 game, and I do as well. If so, let me know and I will send you what you need.

As I understand the standards for Deployment, none. Most of the ANH shots I have seen do not have a gap. I used a plastic trash can and cut the sides off to give me a somewhat flexible piece. I then cut it down for the right height, used E6000 to attach it to the ABS on the kidney plate, then attached velco on the inside of my ab plate and the outside of the new plastic. I did have to add some rivets to the new plastic, as the adhesive did not want to hold after attaching and removing. 3 rivets worked wonders. Hope this helps, -
#1 Glad to know, just not sure why there are being thrown out as things that are wrong. #2 Also good to know, just for the sake of knowing #3 I totally agree they are awesome, I just could not find a consistent process for approval. 1 was in the thread, the other was not. #4 Should I make a motion to do that? Where should it be done? I am not asking for any type of slack, just something were I can say "I did all that was asked of me, so I should be good to go" Thanks for your time in this process Paul. BTW, if you ever ask again, and need an apprentice mentor to do some of these things, I will volunteer.

OK, I am not sure if this is the correct spot, but I have a few suggestions (after my most recent debacle) regarding the Deployment standards. As they sit today, 90% of the deployment standards are great, but they also leave way to much to interpretation. Here is how it was written in the proposal thread: Here are the issues I see that need to be addressed and updated: * Floating kidney and butt plates This needs to be edited to include something like "The separation must be visible, and the separation must be below the belt line." * Grey painted frown This also needs more clarification. Something like "Painted in to resemble the following example.." and provide a screen shot. There have also been several comments and suggestions that are very detailed, but do not exist in the standards. If there are things to be added, like brow trim must be at lens level, and 3 bumps on ear caps, etc, let's get them in there. I for one would have rather known about it going in, rather than finding out one detail at a time. Also, I think the detachment needs to determine (and specify) who makes the determination for status. Is this one person? Is it a group of people who vote? Right now, I have no idea, but two were given deployment status so far. One never showed on the thread, and the other was post #2. (I 100% believe these are awesome sets of armor, so please don't shoot me for just pointing the process out) I have the utmost respect for everyone here, and Paul actually recommended I make these suggestion. The issue for me is the two points in the standard above are rather unspecific, and someone can do what they think is in line with the standard (like I did), only to find out later they are way off. I admit I have seen the films more than I can count, but I never spent that much time REALLY looking at the TK's. When I started to do this, I did not see the details I see now, so it really hurt me in the long run. Respectfully submitted, (and darn proud of it)

Thanks, although I am not sure how much more I can take. Maybe I will just wait and try and get my Stunt helmet done before I do any more. Although I am sure that will have to be redone and revisited and changed and modified and......... Sorry, just a little discouraged, as well as feeling a little inadequate, as if I should already know all this. Just seems like I still need to make 1,000 changes to make sure it is OK by all. I am done for now. -

I totally agree, now that I know the difference. I will try to see when I can get suited back up and take more pics. I am speaking to and walking with a school on Friday to support JDRF, so maybe then. -

After doing some research (which I probably should have done before I started this), I found several shots on the SDS web site that show the Hero lids only had the one screw on top of the gray cover. The stunt lids had two per side. Here is the Hero bucket straight from the SDS web site. This is the stunt and hero side by side: This was a great spot for better info, and what I finally got to use as a reference (with a lot of help from Paul, thanks man!!) I know my bucket is FX, so there are things about it I just can't fix, thus my recent purchase of a new lid that I will due in stunt mode. -

Ok, this is my last attempt. If this is a no-go, then I will wait and get my Stunt helmet done and try again: I even added the screws on the side (only 1 on top), per SDS hero guidelines! I thought this was a good shot to show what I started with [ENCOURAGEMENT FOR OTHER FX's OUT THERE]!! Let me know!! -

I forgot there was such a change in the blasters for ROTJ. I guess I keep taking my E-11(hasbro with mod kit) for granted. Once again this is where I start to feel very small, because I think I have all this knowledge, and I really have only scratched the surface. -
These buckets are just too cool, but I have one question: What does HDPE stand for? I am trying to learn as much as I can, so I know what PRF is, and AP, and GP, but this is a new one to me. Can someone please enlighten me?

I believe so. I am trying to do everything I can to meet the standards. I am also 2 days from starting my ANH Stunt bucket, so if the FX is an issue, it won't be an issue for me for long. -
What makes you who you are? I was NOT raised in a Christian home, but a good home no less. Accepted Christ at 21, and have been following HIM ever since. I also played 3 years of College baseball, so I love coaching baseball and playing softball. What makes you tick? I love collecting Star Wars stuff, and have done so for over 10 years. My wife and I also lead a small group, and just doing life together is one of the best things about us and our lives. I am also very passionate about my kids school (serving on PTA, ect..), as well as being a board member of the local JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). I have been a Type 1 diabetic since I was 15. What do you do for a living? I am a Telecom Manager for my city, and have been in IT/Telecommunications for 12 years. What other passions do you have? Other than JDRF, Sports, and coaching baseball, it would have to be my kids and my wife Other Hobbies and such? Primarily collecting Star Wars (and now trooping)! Just got started on a Vinyl cutter, so I am making vinyl stickers like there is no tomorrow. Married or Not? Yes, very happily for over 14 years!! My wife is my biggest supporter, and even gave me the OK to get my ANH bucket this weekend (man I love that woman). Kids? I have two boys, one 9 and one 5. if I left anything out please fill free to add your own questions Nothing I can think of, thanks for "bumping" this post for us newbies!!!
