  1. I think the idea of the eib programme was to promote costuming excellence, not seeing who can make their suit look the shabbiest! I think painting the ears a basic requirement from the start. The shims in the torso should be well fitted. The legs could be better too. Just because I like to replicate a few costuming errors seen on screen doesn't mean my gear does not fit well and look well made If your itention was to show off your raw looking stunt setup, maybe a thread to do so was better placed somewhere else and not in the eib application forum?
  2. TE2 is a good choice I think he is making armour as and when at the moment so you won't hVe to wait for a run, but I guess only he will be able to tell you that
  3. The main difference is between fan sculpts and armour that can be traced to movie suits. The likes of fx and now am are fan sculpts so are not as accurate. Then you get te2 and ata which derive from a rotj movie suit so look more accurate. Then you have tm which is a fan sculpt but more accurate for anh than the te line.. Confused? You will be! Read as much as you can before purchase and ask plenty of questions first as things such as body size cost and skills are also important too.
  4. Hi Andy you need to contact [email protected] if you wish us to attend There are plenty of troopers on the island.
  5. We who sell regularly have all been there. One of the reasons I took a step back from mass producing belts was the hassle that goes with it. People sometimes forget this is just a hobby and should be fun, maybe I can include myself in there too sometimes!!
  6. Nice progress, what's it gonna be - ANH or ESB?
  7. Looks almost perfect the usual rubber stuff is always oversized.
  8. Personally I don't see anything wrong with how the helmet looks. I've had a couple of lids that I've adjusted which had extra holes left inside.
  9. I don't know you and have not stated I think your are Matt. I suggest you get your facts right and get yourself to specsavers.
  10. Don't panic you can cover the holes on the inside with a strip of plastic. Get some pics up for us.
  11. Not another post without pics?
  12. Yeah come on this thread is useless without piccies î¡
  13. The only thing I would do would be to get some decent ESB decals if that's your goal
  14. I found on bell would twist backwards if I raised my arms above head height, so added a snap to the shoulder bridge strap to keep things in check.
  15. I was asked earlier this week before starting my new build what would I do differently this time? The answer was nothing, it all fitted perfectly. But this time I wanted to do everything as close to the original - so I will be changing a few things
  16. Accuracy - the eternal strive for accuracy!! Also people always use elastic and not nylon webbing. Nylon webbing has no give whatsoever and will lead to costume malfunction and it's not comfy
  17. I have strapped my suit with seperate arms, but will be doing it differently next time.. works well though
  18. I aggree however these lids are not really this colour in person, it was getting dark when i took these pics.. I altered the colour of these pics and they really look more like this in reality..re for discussion.
  19. Then dont punch rivets through your armour then Thats why its in the 'should have' column, not required
