  1. Hi Jon I was having trouble last night there myself. It does seem to be problematic at times, it is quite antiquated and really needs an upgrade or two However you should be able to get on there at some point. I recommend the usual, delete cookies and empty the cashe and try again.
  2. Awesome great news on getting cleared ps Like the cut corners
  3. Cool it looks like you ticked all the i', and dotted all the t's One thing i would suggest, and thats cutting the corner of the plastic ammo belt at 45'
  4. One of the many questions for wannabe stromtroopers is what tools are needed to actually build the set of armour so here is a visual guide to the minimum requirements in my view. Many people prefer different methods of building and to use other tools but these simple items will serve you well. You only really need a few basic tools to build a set of stormtrooper armour and there is no need for access to a huge workshop either. I have built many sets of armour in my living room using just these few basic tools. You will need a pencil and steel rule for measuring and marking. A sharp knife for cutting straight lines. Curved trimming scissors for those more tricky curves. Masking tape to hold things together while gluing. A good glue as Velcro is so 1999. Clamps to hold things together while the glue is drying, or you can just use the masking tape. A drill for adding snaps and rivets to your armour. Vario pliers for use on snaps. And a good pop rivet gun. Now get cutting, trimming, gluing and building
  5. Is it possible for the UKG deligates to have armour spelt with a U
  6. This greatly depends on your point of view.... i would say it can be tricky
  7. Congratulations Lou and Candace
  8. Some glues react badly when it touch's the metal snap and it can warp the outside armour plastic. I have had this happen before.
  9. Overall you look stunning - a great build for sure! You just need to get that helmets swapped out and it should be a clear pass
  10. I actually got down onto the floor and up again unaided
  11. Hi Marcel i have taken a look and i can confirm that your helmet is indeed a stormtrooper helmet.
  12. On an FX kit or similar i would say cut it to give more flexiblilty so you can take part in more tricky activities such as abseiling.. But on a more accurate kit i would say leave it as you will loose the right look, i dont have my cod cut and i can move around in armour pretty easily..
  13. please let the answer be stormtrooper
  14. Although you are not overly tall, at 200 pounds you may struggle to fit into AP armour... Before you spend any money and regret it try to get in touch with local troopers in your garrison and look at what kit they have and see what may suit you best.
  15. Yep google hyperfirm and he is a member here also, try searching for hyperfirm in the junkyard here as he has some for sale atm...
  16. Warning! Do not do business with T*E aka Matt Gauthier - delivery may take months or years. Warning! I finally received my 2010 _ _ Rotj helmets after a nine month wait. I hope anyone else still waiting for anything will shortly receive their goods also. Anyway i only wanted an ABS helmet to add to my collection and it turns out the 2 kits i actually got are styrene. They have been completely finished off by _ _ and he has started by painting them both in a biscuit colour, to match the off white colour of the helmets used in Rotj. They are also finished using green bubble lens and the decals are printed on paper with the black deatiling stripes all hand cut and stuck on top of the paper decals. Very accurate if just a little bit messy.. The ears are hand painted also along with the frown and vocoder and you see one helmet has been finished with a set of keiths hovi mic tips and the other has none. Not sure whether to add the metal hovi or leave them with the resin version?
  17. Cool i left the lowerest hook off deliberately so it does not get in the way of my boots ~ and went with black as i thought it would blend better with the dark undersuit when the shins open up.. But i am willing to alter these to white if thats * cough ~ clears throat * 'screen accurate'
  18. Star shaped foam does the trick.
