  1. Well i know the holes are in the right place so im 33% there... just need to know if the hooks are correct, and how many different ways are there to doing the same action
  2. The hooks are from the fabric store part of sew on hook and eye kit. Simply hand stiched to thin elastic and glued inside the shin
  3. I have been carrying out some armour mods so I thought I would update my thread.. I have added hooks to the back of my shins to keep them closed.

  5. I think you may be using too many words.
  6. This is the thread you are after, the search feature does work but the words you were using were not the right words... http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=4467&st=0&p=57329&fromsearch=1entry57329
  7. Hey Matt well done on completing your TM build Looking great there buddy however i think you need to copy the pictures directly into this thread
  8. Taking a rest When taking a rest, Elstree Studio style, circa 1976 you only need to wear your undersuit, leg armour and boots. Make sure that the thigh armour is held up using an accurate belt and garter system. Lay on your right side with your head supported by a light coloured jumper or pillow and bring your left hand close to you face. The right arm should be tucked tight in close to the body with the hand resting close to the top of yout right thigh. Your legs should be slightly bent with your right leg just in front of your left leg in a relaxed manner. Reference
  9. I had to use 20mm joining stripes on my TE2 arms and they looked ok. Just do whatever you need to make it work.
  10. If thats your first time wearing the armour its not too bad, just some adjustments and fine fitting needed... Here is what i noticed; I dont think the boots will clear due to the extra stitching of the panels, check with your GML. The shoulder straps dont seem to be attached? Glue the front ans free to float at the rear. The shoulder bells need to come up closer to the straps, and lower the biceps. I would remove most of the return edge off the chest plate, there seems to be far too much there. Spin the forearms around so they are in line with the rest of the arm pieces. Trim the O2 tank / thermal detonator it want to be closer to 7-5 inches in total including the end caps. Some general tweaking with the strapping cant go a miss, you will find this out when you get out and troop
  11. Can i just say wow, this was totally unexpected And i would like to thank everyone here at the FISD and in particular Paul for creating such a great place and Nate for taking the time to make this for little old me I look forward to getting this, im a man of few words so once again i would just like to sat thanks
  12. Happy Birthday Boss!!!
  13. You have some mighty fine looking blasters in you collection there Ralph
  14. Due to the beta max act 2008 it is considered illegal to import replica weapons, and Californian laws outlaw selling to the UK.. I got mine through mainland continental Europe and it came straight in through the door It is probably possible to get one in if painted a stupid colour but the HF is an expensive gamble
  15. I really like the hand painted tube stripes Anyone who has the skill to do those and not use decals deserves mucho kudos...
  16. Yep thats the rubbies shi'te being pumped out, looks like a really bad recast of a don post helmet I think this guy is regularly reported for using the UKG guys without permission, and the guy must be stupid using the SDS stall to boot
  17. Er, coz the powers that be said so! Remember these requirements are not for forum membership or even 501st, they are set as a slightly higher but very easily achieved standard for those interested in helping the 501st push the bar in costume accuracy
  18. It's ok Vern, this is a common question. The decals for the rear traps on the original helmets did not fit all that well, depending on how soft or sharp the hdpe was it is more or less noticible. Let's look at the badged helmet.. This was quiet a nice pull, and as you look at the helmet the right side trap is larger than the left, which is replicated perfectly on the TM, and so the right side decal seems overly small. Again the decals from TK4510 are a perfect match to make the helmet a perfect replica. L
  19. It may work for you, im just going by my experience.. give it a go and see
  20. Any armour i own has to be tough, and built to last some tough activities... Climbing laders..
  21. Hi steve in the helmet department, less is definately more ~ ooh matron! Simple foam padding with plenty of free space to let the air circulate is the order of the day. While your trooping in a hot area ie shopping center or convention center there will be little chance to open your vents and catch a nice breeze as you would while doing 150 on your bike
  22. Your going to be hot in that lid
  23. Pictures are always a good idea in cases like these so we can better assess the situation
