  1. You look great in armor, Brian! Congrats! ....and what beautiful hand guards you have there Karin
  2. Yes, the weathering looks awesome. Dry brushing? Karin
  3. Thanks Paul! That would make me the queen then, wouldn't it? K.
  4. I don't like this part: Maybe he's doingbecause he needs money really bad. They are nice lookingn helmets tough. Karin
  5. Patience, little padawan, patience.... To the "For Sale" section you must go... Karin
  6. Thanks Paul! Thesterling dimension were one of the references I used. Yes, your's are latex... And yes, I should have said "most accurate look" Karin
  7. Fresh out of the mold.... I redesigned my previous version and can proudly say these are the most accurate re-creation of the hand plates regarding Size, shape and material. The front is a little thicker, and the back (wrist) a littler thinner. What do you think? Karin
  8. I could send you a pipe from here if you want... Karin
  9. Well, if you go ESB with your helmet, you have to cut it off to be screen accurate. Karin
  10. okay, I've redesigned the hero handplates. They're much more screen accurate: As you can see in this pic, they're quite thin But compare for yourself Karin
  11. Finally you got it! Have fun building it! Karin
  12. Well, the rubber gloves SHOULD be textured - on the "finger tips" and on the palm. It is SA. I think the text is a little misleading worded I just looked it up. Don't know why it didn't occure to earlier Thanks for pointing it out! Chief? Terry? Karin
  13. well, it still will take some time until they go "officially in production", but the price won't be higher. The regular version is still for sale, of course. And yes, those FX ones are way over size Karin
  14. So Say We All! (yes, I know, wrong franchise, but it fits ) Karin
  15. May I present my NEW NON-latex handplates? At first glance, they look just as all the others.... BUT... if you turn them around, they look like painted latex! But remember: neither paint nor latex is involved! So no allergies, no paint cracking flaking! This is just simulated! Pretty close to screen accurate, huh? Hope you like it. I already sent the last orders out that way. Edit: Production of these "accurate back" version is on hold for the moment. Still like to receive some feedback Karin PS: This protype set was for sale (there's a slight discoloration)
  16. Is it just me or DOES this look EXACTLY like the famous cheesegrater hand guards the TD wear? anyway, such a backdrop/wall would look awesome KArin
  17. To help other troopers with their build; please give us your measurements. If I have enough data, i'll try to analyze it statisticly. Please provide the following: Armor maker: Height: Weight: Chest: xx" Abs: xx" did you use shims? Waist: xx" Thighs: xx" did you use shims? Shins: xx" did you use shims? Biceps: xx" did you use shims? Forearm: xx" did you use shims? Any other mod? thanks, Karin
  18. Maybe we could start a master list with as many measurments as possible. So we could see "who fits in what armor", what to shim etc... Karin
  19. Thedentedhelmet.com is quite nice, as well as clonetroopers.net Karin
  20. Yep. I agree You really put a lot of effort into these. The look good. But I don't think that all the slopes were sculpted, mainly the the "bend" on the part which points to the thumb. This is all the result of the flexibily of the material (latex)- I really do believe the "original sculpts" were just made out sheet material. Why bother with an elaborate sculpt when the finished hand guards bends, contorts and follows the curves of the hand anyway? Now, if your cast YOUR versions in a flexible material and put them onto a glove and wear it, it WON'T look anywhere near the screen capture. It will bend and contort even more. If you use it as a buck for vac formed plates, it looks DEAD on It really helps to have a real latex plate to study its properties. Karin
  21. With our ongoing quest for accuracy, would you like the hand guards *glossy (=idealized; to match the polished ABS look) or rather *dull (=screen accurate; like the original ones)? Please vote! Karin To clarify: this all apply for the non-latex versions. The dull ones would just LOOK painted.
  22. Can't see nothing wrong with it. I like it You can /should trim 5 mm off the brow; easily done with an exacto blade. Karin
  23. I think I can help you out Karin
Fragen klärt, wo man bestimmte Materialen bzw. deren Äquivalente in deutschsprachigen Ländern herkriegt.
  25. Thanks! Already made the first post Karin
