  1. Many thanks for your input, guys! Are there any specific "tells" for a GF/Folliano I should look for? K
  2. See? there are many nouns for force etc... "Macht" was the word they used in the movies, though the literal (sp?) translation would have been "Kraft" K
  3. So, this guys who made this movie have "Macht" as their last name? LOL!!!! "Macht" is the german translation of "Force" K.
  4. So I bought this helmet cheap (thanks again, Òrlendr!!!). Unfortunately, nothing is know about the maker. It is rumored to be an AP, but I can't find any AP tells. This is how it looks now: And this is how it looked before the "restauration" process began: Can one of the experts out there indentify the maker? I'm going to "rebuild" this baby, trying to incorporate all the tips and tricks found here on this board offered by the "pros", from mending cracks with "tee and supeer glue" to painting. K.
  5. Edit: Seems to be back on. ------------------ Joe, did your thread over at the RPF just got pulled? K.
  6. Dammit! Got pics? I'm starting to realize that I'm cut off of the rest of the world here in Austria. PLEASE, tell in adavance. I donÄt wanna miss such an opportunity again...
  7. Good question I never tought about that. I hope Paul chimes in. But they VERY comfortable to wear. And easy to atttach; just glue them on. Maybe it was for safety reasons. Ot they were a last minute addition, AFTER the armors were formed. K.
  8. I just like to know, because almost 900 member were online that day, more than ever. Did I miss something special? I wasn't online then. K.
  9. what a *********************!!!! Did you get the small print? Speechless! K.
  10. You dont need to I'm glad to know that I'm not alone with the love for two (or more) franchises! Trek and Wars. Can't compare them, both are to be loved. Did you ever want tp know what happen when Kirk meets GL? Click here: Live Long and Prosper! .. and My the Force Be With You - Always!
  11. Back in the 80ies there were this big group fight: "Star Wars" vs "Star Trek"- Is this the same 30 years later? I must confess: "My name is Karin and I am a Trekker". Anybody else with me? K.
  12. Here's the entire thread for those interested: -----
  13. I think I read somewhere that they were silk screened. If they pattern would have been hand cut, it would explain the irregular, "organic" look. There must be also an old thread here, where TE said that he had found some painted on with an plain ball point pen. K.
  14. Daniel, the site is starwarshelmet.com Jez is the owner Pablo, thanks for posting the pics. that's exactly what I mean. I have been looking at those pics for about a 1000 times. Just today I finally saw them. So, has anybody replicated this little detail? K.
  15. These pics from Billhag should explain everything (hope he doesn't mind) As you can see, it's indeed more of an "O-Ring". *shameless plug* If you look at my signature, there's a link where you can get highly accurate ones K.
  16. I was just browsing Jez's awesome site, when I saw something I didn't catch before: The helmets were riveted with 2 rivets per side (1 betwenn the upper 2 screws, one near the bottom screw) So far, all the replicas I have seen use only 1 rivet (the upper one), even AP inlcudes just 1 rivet per side. Could the (in)famous pinch in the side tubes result from this addional rivet? Serveral replicas lack this pinch. Does anyone use 2 rivets on their helmet? regards, K.
  17. Since I was a little girl I always watched "3 nuts for Cinderella". This chech/german movie is more than 30 years old, but it still sets the mood for me.... K.
  18. Fröhliche Weihnachten und ein gutes, neues Jahr! All the best! Karin
  19. Is is just me, or do the tube stripes look rather odd? To me, they are smaller than the ones I usual see... K.
  20. Glad you like them! It really makes me proud to see them on a happy ANH trooper. Please, post more pics! K.
