  1. To put a bookend on this whole thread, I'm finally approved! I got approved about a month ago, and wanted to wait until my first troop to post some photos of this kit in action. It was so fun to finally be a part of the 501st Legion and I can't wait to get out more. And finally, thank you to everyone that has helped me along the way, from here on the forums, as well as the Southern California Garrison where I first got in contact with the Legion, I couldn't have done it without all the troopers that have helped me along the way. Thank you!
  2. Here is my TKID and Legion ID! https://www.501st.com/member/72177/ 501st user ID: 49489 Thank you!
  3. Hello! TK-72177 requesting 501st access. Thank you! https://www.501st.com/member/72177/ 501st user ID: 49489 Updated, sorry about that!
  4. Thanks for the support y'all! I fixed the brow on the helmet as well as the shin issue, I had some padding in the shins to keep them from rotating which caused them to be too snug that the one side in particular couldn't fully close. Go figure. I'll definitely try those tabs as well on the butt plate too as well as try and align those shoulder straps, while I patiently wait for my GML to respond!
  5. Thanks Glen! It's been so long since I've posted here that I forgot how to post links lol I will definitely do that once approved, thanks!
  6. Hello! It has been just over 6 years since I last posted. I started this build when I was too young to join the Legion, and I ended up being happy just wearing this armor (amongst other costumes) just for myself, and didn't feel the need to join a group. Now in my early twenties, I feel the need for that community and to do more good with this armor than ever I did before. I have since moved back to Canada where I'm from, and I'll be joining up with the Badlands Garrison, I am just awaiting approval. I started to feel the unfinished business of not accomplishing my goal of joining the 501st, and I'm really glad to be remedying that. Here are a few of my approval photos.
  7. Congrats Glen, thank you for all that you do here, many of us will be grateful for your help and support and will remember it for years to come!
  8. Bravo to staff, members, and all in between, I’m so proud of this group for achieving this goal. Congratulations to all the first 1000 EIBs, here’s to many more
  9. Done, looking forward to seeing the results!
  10. Would there be a TFA and a TLJ helmet variant CRL? Since on the book cover it’s a TFA helmet but on the figure it’s a TLJ. Or would the figure’s helmet be considered Non Canon?
  11. So sorry to hear that you have to let this project go, you are so passionate about this that I know you’ll be back on this project in no time. Hope everything gets better, and hold tight to your dream. The great thing about hitting rock bottom is that it can only go up. Best wishes.
  12. Same, I almost can’t watch a Star Wars movie without noticing a mistake(rotating shins, gaffers tape, etc.). All good fun though, my family is baffled every time I point something like that out
  13. Hey everyone! It's been a bit, got a bit distracted with other stuff, but now I bring good news! KB shipped out my remaining parts and I received them yesterday! So here we go! Helmet I received the TFA resin KB helmet and it looks great! Mine had a small crack on the bottom that was easily repaired with some glue. I also received a TLJ/TROS helmet (which was ordered before I had gotten a great deal on the Anovos helmet), so I might do something unique to the helmet, like turn it into Commander Pyre or Captain Cardinal, guess we'll see I also began cutting the eyes out, I used a Dremel with the cutting wheel to make some initial cuts, and the sanding drum to finish it. I also used sandpaper and needle files to get in the space between the eyes. Resin Parts The resin TD and chest clips also arrived, and they look great, the TD fits really nicely on the plastic part of the TD. The chest clips also look great, looking forward to working with these parts! And that's pretty much it! More to come soon
  14. Great work so far, what an awesome build!
